Chapter 1- Savannah

It was a sunday night, a normal sunday night in Miami Florida. Me and my best friend Kayla were driving down an empty street that lead to her house. I picked her up earlier that day so we could spend our last day of freedom together before we started senior year tomorrow. We did everything, shopping, got our nails done, and grabbed a bite to eat. Just regular old girl stuff. Katy perry's song part of me started blasting through the surround sound system of my car as kayla turned it up and we started singing along like the two crazy white girls we were. "I can't believe were finally gonna be seniors tomorrow!" she yelled over the music.

"Honestly I'm just ready for graduation...even though school hasn't even started yet!" I said.

"Your such a weirdo, I'm ready for the parties and all the cute senior boys!" she said throwing her hands up and dancing.

I just laughed at my single friend. Unlike her I was in a committed relationship with my boyfriend since Freshmen year Jared. He was perfect. Every girls dream boyfriend, he was sweet, really hot, and was the captain of the football team. I was captain of the cheerleading team and ever since Jared approached me asking me to the spring formal we've been inseperable since! People always saw us together and commented on how cute we were, or how we were gonna be together forever. I really hope so!

After 10 more minutes of driving around and turning here and there, I pulled up to Kayla's house. She got out as I rolled down the window. "Text me in the morning and let me know what your gonna wear!" I shouted.

"Ok I will." she waved as I drove off, heading home. Personally I didn't like driving at night. It's not that I was bad at driving during this time of day, it just made me uncomfortable. As I was driving home all I could think about was tomorrow. My older sister would always tell me stories about her senior days and I planned to make my senior year the best year ever. I was now getting closer to my house as I gently pressed on the break slowing down and stopping at a red light. I took this time to slide in my Drake CD getting tired of listening to a radio. All of a sudden I heard a loud screeching noise and just as I looked up. BAM! my car jerked forward as the car behind me slammed into it. I closed my eyes for a moment trying to catch my breath as I was panicking. I ran my hands up and down my body to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain. I was ok except for a headache that was caused by the sudden crash. I was so grateful for the seatbelt that was wrapped across my body, I can only imagine what would have happened if I forgot to wear it. After collecting myself and making sure I was ok, I opened my car door wanting to give this jerk a piece of my mind for slamming into my car and hoping the damage wasn't that bad. I really couldn't believe I was dealing with this the day before school! I slammed my car door making my way over. "Hey I don't know why you think you are, but obviously you can't dr-" My angry words were cut off when I saw a young man around my age, sitting in the driver seat covered in blood and unconsious. Obviously he took way more damage than I have. I ran over to the car door trying to jerk it open. It was locked! dammit! "Sir! please get up! please be ok!!" I shouted over and over as I started banging on the window and jerking the door handle. I pulled back reaching into my back pocket for my phone and dialed as quickly as I could.

"911 what's your emergency?"

"Um yes hi, I was just in a car accident and I need an officer and an ambulance here quick!"

"Ma'am what's the damage?"

"No I'm fine, but the guy! Oh my God he's unconsious in his car and he's bleeding really badly please send someone quicly!" I was shouting, but I knew that panicking wasn't going to do anything I had to remain calm and positive.

"alright ma'am please give me your current location so we can send someone over."

I gave her the adress as she reassured me that someone was on the way and that I had to remain calm and not leave the scene of the accident. After hanging up I just starred at the guy and sat on the cold street. "Please be ok, God please save this man." I started to pray hoping that everything was gonna be ok. After 10 minutes of sitting in that position I heard sirens from a distance, they were getting closer and closer. I was now against the guy's car trying to open the door again. "Everything gonna be ok!, please get up sir! please." I kept this up until I saw a hint of movement from him. He slowly opened his eyes turning his head towards my direction. Our eyes met. "Your gonna be ok!" I shouted. He was gonna be ok.
