The next morning I woke up beside Christopher with a huge smile on my face especially when I turned around to see him fast asleep then I heard a knock at the door before it opened "Hey Luke" I said as smiled at Luke stood at the door then I heard a groan beside me it was Christopher wake up "I was wondering if we were still baking for the bake sale after school" Luke said as Christopher rubbed his eyes trying to wake himself up "of course is anyone else awake?" I asked "no" Luke said as he stood there nervously "go and wake them up and I will make everyone pancakes" I said which made a huge grin appear on Luke's face "ok" Luke said as he ran out of the room accidentally slamming it behind him which made Christopher groan again before putting his pillow on his face.
"morning" I said as crawled over taking the pillow off his face and placing a kiss on his cheek before he rolled on top of me "we can't do this now the kids are awake and i need to go and cook breakfast" I said as he continued to kiss my neck "nope" I said shoving him off me and began to get changed "get up" I said which made Christopher roll back over and tried to go back to sleep as I headed to the bathroom and brushed my teeth as walked back into the bedroom Christopher was back asleep.
"Christopher" I said stood there with my hands on my hips before walking over pulling the blanket off him "come on I'm not dealing with the kids by myself" I said as he opened his eyes and pulled himself out of bed "Thankyou I will see you downstairs" I said as I opened the door and walked onto the landing to see the kids heading downstairs "where's Lee Henry" I asked as Luke looked at me "still in bed I tried" Luke said before heading downstairs. So I walked down the corridor to his room and opened the door "Lee Henry I'm making so you need to get up and have breakfast before school" I said stood in the doorway "ugh" Lee Henry said as he rolled back over "you have 5 mins then I'm coming back" I said closing the door behind me before heading downstairs all the kids at the kitchen counter waiting for breakfast.
"Have you all brushed your teeth" I said "yes" all the kids said together before I headed to the fridge grabbing the ingredients I needed for pancakes along with juice and milk for the kids as I started making pancakes Lee Henry entered the kitchen "sleeping beauty finally woke up" I said which made the kids chuckle as Lee Henry sat down with the other kids as I started the plate up the blueberry pancakes before I made the second batch Christopher walked in "smells good" Christopher said with a smile on his face.
Before he walked over to me and placed a kiss on my cheek as I made the rest of the pancakes and placed them on each kid's plate but as I stood there in the kitchen I knew that I had to tell Christopher who my father was before it got out on it's own it had been 2 months since my father visited me at the hospital and told me he knew he was my father and it surprised me that he hadn't told anyone which was the only thing I respected about him.
The only person who knew was Connor so I knew I needed to speak to Connor before I told Christopher "right kids let's get going" Christopher said as we gathered up all the kids and drove them to school before Christopher dropped me off at Med "see you later" I said placing a kiss on his cheek before grabbing my bag and getting out of the car. And walking up the hospital as I saw Connor waiting "Hey" Connor said as a look appeared on my face "you ok?" Connor asked "I haven't told Christopher yet who my dad is" I said which made a shocked look appear on Connor "I'm not sure what to do Hank knows I'm his daughter but I'm not sure how Christopher will react if I tell him it's a huge secret to keep from someone I love" I said looking down with a sad expression on my face.
"I think you should tell him and I think Herrmann will understand because like you said it's a huge secret to keep and Hank isn't exactly someone with a good reputation" Connor said which made me laugh "come on" Connor said as he grabbed my hand and we walked into the hospital and got changed as we got changed "I'm gonna tell him it's the right thing to do and I don't want to lie to him because I love him so much" I said which made Connor smile "you don't know how happy I am you said that because you know I love you like family and you've found someone that you love and he loves you so much I can tell" Connor said making us both so soppy so I punched him in the arm "no more soppyness come on we have people to save" I said as we both chuckled before heading out to the ER.
"Hey future Mrs Herrmann" Nat said as she laughed "we've only been living together a few months I think marriage is miles off" i said which made Nat smile "Well I'm happy for you" Nat said as she placed her hand on my arm. After shift I picked up the car as Christopher dropped it off at the hospital as we arrived home the other kids went off and kid there own thing while myself, Luke and Kenny headed to the kitchen "right so we're making brownies and muffins so ingredients" I said as I looked at Luke "so can you get the bowls, spoons and put them near the whisk while I get the ingredients" I said as Luke smiled "ok" Luke said as he went to the cupboard with Kenny.
As we began to whisk everything up Luke threw some flour at me which made laugh "oh your on" i said which started a flour war between myself and the boys as we were throwing flour at each other I heard the front door open before we turned around as Christopher walked in the kitchen with a huge grin on his face as me and kids stood there covered in flour before we all laughed "having fun I see" Christopher said happily "right no more throwing flour unless it's at your father because we need to get these in the oven" I said grinning at Christopher.
After the baking the boys went upstairs up for a shower as I started making dinner "you look ridiculous" Christopher said as he laughed "what I don't look sexy anymore" I said flicking a small amount of flour at him after dinner the kids went to bed i stood in the kitchen alone for a while before Christopher walked in.
"I have something to tell you" I said with a guilty look on my face "what's wrong?" Christopher asked with a worried look on my face "I told you about my mom but I didn't tell you the truth about my dad" I said as Christopher sat down at the counter "I only found out who he was when I was 18 but the only person who knew was Connor, my biological dad is Hank Voight" I said as Christopher's mouth dropped.
