To be honest, Midoriya couldn't really remember the last time he had fought with someone he loved. Him and Eri always got along and his mother... Well she was so kind and he was such a goody two shoes back then that it never really came around to fighting. But Midoriya had sat at his desk for almost an hour already.

"Some test," He muttered under his breath. This was getting to him. He was alone with his thoughts and now that the argument wasn't fresh in his mind he noticed that there wasn't any rage left against Shinso just guilt. Guilt was a strange emotion for Midoriya. It was heavy and made him feel sick. His breathing was short and his muscle were taught. He was taking deep breaths but it didn't help. He was under some trance. The two boys needed to talk about their situation.

The bell startled Midoriya out of his seat almost knocking Shinso over as he walked to Mr. Aizawa's desk to turn in his test. Midoriya followed him out into the hall and finally when the other students cleared out to the cafeteria, he made his move. The boys slowed to a stop and Shinso turned around to face his boyfriend.

"What?"

That word filled the silent hallway. Shinso knew what this was about. He knew he needed to apologize too but Midoriya had come to him first. Shinso was giving him a chance to explain himself and open up to his lover. Even though the word came out harsher than intended Midoriya began talking.

He started with the common 'I'm sorry' but as he talked his feelings poured out. He talked about trust and how it was obviously hard to trust after living as he did. And he talked about how he really did trust Shinso. He talked about how confused he was. He didn't know how to deal with his feelings. He was naturally protective of some things like his beliefs and opinions because he learned that was all he could truly protect.

Shinso was silent. For a couple minutes the two just stood and stared. Feeling each other's presence but finally Shinso pulled Midoriya into him and gave him a long hug. Both of them finally relaxed.

"I forgive you." Shinso said. It was muffled by the hug. "And I'm sorry too." He could have offered a whole explanation like Midoriya had but, unlike the vigilante, he didn't have a way with words.

A part of Midoriya healled that day. An emotional scar finally disappeared. He felt a weight lift off his chest as he melted into Hitoshi's embrace.
