Hebi-suki sat on the edge of a roof top looking over the city. He slowly lost himself in his thoughts. This night was special to him. It had been one year since his mother had passed and one year since he quit school. He was sick of pretending to be the little helpless Izuku. He cut off all ties with the people he knew before and faked his death. Now Izuku Midoriya was dead to him and everybody who knew him, literally. The few people he did trust called him Deku. He trusted know one with his true identity. He pulled himself from his thoughts when he heard a noise behind him. He had to be more careful since he was a wanted vigilante in Japan right now. He got into a fighting stance and turned around. There in front  of him was Endeavor and All Might. Standing behind them was Present Mic and Eraserhead. Hebi-suki hid his panic behind his mask. He knew his chance of escaping was low without using his quirks but it was better if the heroes and police thought he was quirkless.

"Well, well, well," Endeavor started taking a few steps forward. "We've got you now, Hebi-suki." He spat out. He started a flame in his hand. All Might came and stood next to Endeavor. Hebi-suki visibly tensed. He had always kept his distance from the heroes. Always managing to get away after helping them. He knew all of Endeavor and All Might's secrets so he had reason to hate them. Eraserhead and Present Mic step up too. He was surrounded.

"Just give yourself up." Eraserhead said tiredly. Hebi-suki chuckled to himself. His favorite hero was Eraserhead.

"Yea, I don't think so and though I would love to stick around, I really have to get going." The Heroes could tell something was off about the vigilantes behavior. He always talked first and teased the heroes. He always demonstrated he was better than them but tonight was different. Before they could over think things Hebi-suki jumped off the edge of the building. He used his telekinesis quirk to land softly before the heroes could see. Then he ran as fast as he could.

When he was sure the villains were off his trail he slowed to a stop.

Hebi-suki's P.O.V.

I'm not myself tonight. The night my mother passed a year ago, from today, I vowed never to use my quirks again. She was killed in a quirk accident. I hated to think that this night was when I was weakest. All the memories came back to me. I don't know why I decided to patrol today. Should have just stay home. I was walking towards the cemetery when I heard a little girl scream. I shuddered as I remembered the way my mother screamed when she was burnt to crisps by Endeavor. I ran towards the sound. On the ground in an alleyway was a small girl with white hair and a singular horn. She had huge red eyes. There was a man tugging her into a purple portal. I had a lot of intel on the LOV so I knew this was Kurogiri's doing. I didn't recognize the man though. I silently crept up from behind and swung one of my fists at his head.  I had forgotten to bring all my guns and knifes with me tonight but the punch threw him to the ground. I picked up his limp body and threw him through the portal.

"Leave, now Kurogiri." i said menacingly. The portal disappeared. I turned towards the girl and crouched in front of her. She was scared of me so I was going to have to earn her trust. I didn't trust others easily so I knew what she was going though. "Hey there," I said sweetly. "I'm Deku. I won't hurt you but you don't have to trust me yet." She sort of relaxed. She couldn't have been over the age of 7. She had a few nasty gashes on her body and one over he right eye. I hoped they wouldn't leave a scar. "I need you to come with me so I can patch you up." I said slowly reaching a hand towards her.

"I'm Eri." She whispered. if I hadn't trained my hearing so well I wouldn't have heard her.

"Can you walk, Eri, or can I pick you up?" I asked. She winced in pain as she tried to move. "Its ok, I'll carry you." I slowly picked her up and she nuzzled her head into my chest. I walked out of the alley way and to my apartment building. After a little while Eri fell asleep. Poor girl, I thought, she must have been through a lot.
