VeraxHoseok
Forbidden Series Book#7
The Widow and Young Producer*Vera is a 27 year old widow, Hoseok is a 25 year old producer
In a cemetery full of snow, one man stands out against it.
In his brown winter coat, Hoseok walks through the graveyard with a glum expression on his face. Contrary to his usual light smile and calm nature, he isn't much in the mood for happiness today.
He looks at the headstones as he passes them. He finds the one he came for and stands before it. He takes a deep breath before squatting down. Hoseok uses the sleeve of his coat to wipe the snow off of the carved slab. The name comes into view, as does the rest of the information on it.

Beloved Son, Brother and Husband
"This conversation is going to be a little difficult, I think." He places the blue forget-me-nots on the base of the headstone. "I, uh," Hoseok looks up at the gray clouds of the sky. "I'm kind of in love with your wife." He says as he looks back at the headstone.
"You're probably going to hate me. Maybe. I don't know. You seemed like a pretty cool guy. She still talks about you. I hope you don't think that she doesn't love you anymore. That's not true. Vera loves you very much. I can only hope that she'll love me half as much, it would still suffice. She's incredible. Though I'm sure you know that better than anyone."
He takes a pause as he looks around at all of the headstones. He feels slightly awkward doing this. Not because he is talking to Dante but because of the topic of the conversation.
"I came here because... I want you to know that she's in good hands. Even if they're hands that she's afraid to be in, she is safe. I promise to take care of her. I'm not sure if I can memorize the names of every flower. I only know roses, dandelions and tulips. And I don't know if I'll be able to wake up at six every morning to make her breakfast." He smiles a little at the memory of Vera telling him about that.
"But I make sure that she eats. I make sure that she isn't suffocating herself with that heavy blanket that she sleeps with. I don't know why you bought her that thing. It's awful." He admits as he grins.
"I even put that beach scent that she likes so much in my car. My friend said it smells girls in there now." Hoseok laughs and wipes his eyes.
"She's got this stuffed cookie thing in my house. I don't remember why I got that for her. She wanted it so bad and there's no way..." He laughs quietly to himself as he realizes.
"There was no way that I could have told her no the way that she was smiling about it."
He sniffles as his tears fall. "God, I can't do this." He runs his fingers through his hair. He looks up as he cries silently. "I'm trying, man. I am." He tells him.
"We were out a few weeks ago, two. We went ice skating and then to the park. They have the snowman building competition and then they have the professional side where they're not so messy looking. She was smiling so much, she was laughing. She was so... vibrant. Like the warmest shade of blue." Hoseok smiles as he thinks about it.
"It was a perfect day. Everything was beautiful." The smiles slowly fades and he looks at the ground. "I ruined it. I didn't mean to. I just.. I couldn't hold it in anymore. The time felt right. I told her that I loved her after we kissed. She started crying and ran off."
Hoeok struggles to keep himself composed. "I drove her home. I told her that she's allowed to love other people. She isn't betraying you for that. I don't know if she believes me. Maybe she feels that it's wrong. Maybe she's scared. She doesn't have to be."
"I guess what I'm trying to say is... my point is I don't know if I can love her in all the ways that you did. But I can love her in the ways that I know how. Vera will never have to feel anything less than what she deserves. I'll love her until the world takes me from this life. And even in the next, I'll love her there too. She will never be without it. This I promise you."
He wipes the snow from the base of the headstone and stands up. He shakes his legs out as they tingle from squatting for so long. Hoseok walks back to his car and sits inside. Since he's already here, he decides to stop by and see his parents.
He wipes their headstones off as well, looking at their names. He notices the fresh flowers and his eyes water all over again.
"How am I supposed to avoid falling in love with her when she does things like this? How is that expected of me?"
