A giddy smile overtakes Nadia's face as she looks over the top of the menu at the man across from her. A date. She's finally secured a date. After months of trying to go out and start dating again, she's finally done it.

It isn't that she's an unattractive woman. Quite the opposite; she's beautiful. A stunning woman that catches the eye of most. Her beauty isn't something that's ever overlooked. Neither is her kindness. People often talk about how warm of a person that she is. As a friend, as a boss, as a stranger. It never wavers.

So it isn't her that makes her dating life difficult. It's the men she associates with. Well, the man. It isn't like she have much a choice, she can't get rid of him. His position is solidified and there's nothing that anybody can do to change that. Not even Nadia herself. He's told her many times that the two of them are bound together regardless of any situation.

She guesses that men take that as a threat or they just don't want to deal with her because of it. Or maybe they think her standards are unreachable because of him.

"Get whatever you'd like, Nadia." Her dinner date says. He smiles at her and she looks down at the menu. From behind it, she lets out a slow exhale to calm herself. She doesn't want to ward him off with her excitement. Then he'll think she's a weirdo and she doesn't need that.

"Are you sure? This place is pricey. Everything is a bit expensive." She says as she looks the menu over. It changes every season but she still knows that the prices aren't cheap.

"Yes, but I'm sure you're used to the more high end of things. I knew what I was getting myself into when I asked for the date." The two of them look at each other for a moment before the waiter comes by with the wine and glasses.

Of course he would be able to pay the bill. If he couldn't, she'd be curious. Alexander Toke isn't of the middle class society. He's a business owner, a CEO. One of the city's most eligible bachelors. He was named number one for four years in a row.

His streak was broken two years ago. He's been in the stagnant spot of three since then. Not that it means anything to Nadia. She doesn't care about the money, she's got her own.

"You're not going to ghost me after this, are you?" She asks after becoming aware that he knows who she is. He raises his eyebrows as he pours wine into your glasses. A smile overtakes his face and he licks his lips.

He sets the bottle down and shakes his head. "No. Mr. Kim is a very smart, well respected man. I admire his work ethic. But he doesn't scare me. I have no reason to fear him." He says confidently. That gives her hope that this time is going to be different than the others.

"That's good." She lets out a sigh of relief. "I'm grateful for that. You don't know how many times guys have realized who I was and decided that they didn't want to continue to the date."
