Sitting in the cab, you wondered what your life here in San Fransokyo would be like. You hoped that you could get into a good college because you weren't so good in school- due to you having ADHD and all- but you always liked engineering and robotics since your mom was a daughter of Hephaestus. That made your mom and one of your best friends Leo, brother and sister. So technically Leo was your uncle.

It was really weird at first because you were a year older than Leo, but after a while you learned to ignore it. But with Leo being himself, he always seemed to find a way to remind you of it, making you mad when he joked around and called you his niece.

You and Leo pretty much had the same powers. You were good with tools, engineering, building stuff, and you both had hephaestus's gift of fire. You both got along really well, actually you got along with everybody at camp. You're a nice, thoughtful, and caring person, but you also have a daring, and adventurous side just like any other demigod. Everybody knew not to mess with you, because when you got mad you could be scarier than Tartarus. There was another thing, you were different than most demigods. Your mom was a demigod but your father was a god, poseidon. So you also had the power to control water, talk to horses, and breath under water like your half brother Percy. (Sorry I couldn't choose between hephaestus and poseidon so I did both!)

You missed all your friends and just by thinking about them made you homesick. While you were thinking about your friends you didn't notice that the cab had stopped in front of the cafe. Thanking the kind driver, you payed for the ride before getting out of the cab.

When you walked into the cafe you were greeted by a lady with brown hair and a warm smile. "Hello dear, how may I help you?"

You looked at the menu and ordered a caramel macchiato before sitting down at a table, with a view of San Fransokyo you could look at. When the sky began to darken with clouds you could already feel the large amount of water that was about to fall from the sky.

You sighed when the thunder rumbled and large droplets of rain fell at a very fast pace. The rain was heavy and it didn't seem like it would be stopping anytime soon.

"Oh great, now what am I gonna do."

You didn't notice the lady at the cafe standing beside you placing your coffee on the table until she spoke, "Is something wrong dear?" she asked, looking at you a little worried.

"Um not really, well kind of." you sighed, looking down at your coffee before thanking her for the drink.

She took the seat next to you and put a arm on your shoulder. "I know we don't know each other but you seem a little down sweetie. Would you like to talk about it? That's if you want to of course."

Smiling at her kindness you slowly nodded your head, sitting up a bit to talk to her. "I just got here from New York and I'm looking for a place to stay in until I can afford an apartment near a school I want to go to. I honestly have no idea where to even start looking, and I have no one to talk to here. And now it looks like there's a storm and I have no car or no friends to call to get me. I'm completely alone and I don't know what to do."

The lady looked at you with a slightly shocked expression as you explained your situation. "Wait you came here all by yourself?"

You nodded and waited as she grew silent, tilting her head in thought. "If you'd like you can stay here until you find a school you want to go to, or a place to stay." she said with a warm welcoming smile.

"Oh no ma'am I wouldn't want to cause you any trouble. I'd be intruding and I would feel bad." You try to turn her down but she insisted.

"Nonsense! I am not letting a young lady like you out in this horrible storm with no where to go! That's just cruel of me to do."

"Thank you so much Ms?"

"You can call me Aunt Cass or Cass. What's your name sweetheart?" Aunt Cass asked as she stood up from the table.

"My name is (Y/n)." You smile.

"Well (y/n) feel free to get a little comfortable for a little bit. I need to finish serving and once I don't have as many customers, I'll get one of my nephews to take you upstairs. Their working on school work right now." Aunt Cass explained before walking off into the kitchen.

As you sat there and waited, listening to the sound of the heavy rain, you sighed in content. Someone kind and generous was going to help you until you got on your feet. It felt amazing! You never thought that you would be lucky enough to meet someone so kind.

The loud sounds of running and shouting coming from upstairs broke you out of your thoughts. You didn't think about it much until you saw a cat in something that looked like jets stuck to its feet flying towards you in a fast speed.

"What the," You tried to stand and move out of the way but it was to late. The cat slammed into you making you flip out of your chair falling backwards. You let out a loud yelp, watching your coffee mug fall out of your hand and crash onto the floor. The very heavy cat knocked the wind out of your chest as you hit the floor with a loud thud, and everything went dark.
