I was walking with Atsumu to the cafeteria.
He was oddly quiet so I decided to break the silence.
"Are you going to do indoor hockey?" I asked.
He seemed to think about it for a few seconds before answering.
"I did indoor back in first year... But I stopped 'cause Samu told me that I should stop 'cause he kept gettin' muscle pains from havin' to bend over all the time an' he didn't want me to play without him," Atsumu explained.
A determined expression played across his features.
"But ya know what? Fuck that, I'm gonna do it... It's been a while since I used my indoor stick..." He said with a grin.
I couldn't help but smile.
Maybe getting all that off his chest gave him some confidence...
He stopped suddenly.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
He took his phone out of his pocket and clicked it open.
His eyes widened as he turned the screen towards me.

I thought you left early but you weren't there
You said you were going out yesterday

Atsumu I swear
Answer your fucking phone
He sighed before blocking his twin's number.
My eyes widened as he clicked his phone off and put it in his pocket.
He scoffed, "All those times he called me annoyin' an' irritatin' when I wanted to talk to him, now when I'm gone he wants to be concerned..."
He shook his head bitterly, "Make up yer fuckin' mind, Samu..."
I placed my arm around his shoulders and pulled him closer as he leaned his head on my shoulder.
"Maybe he'll realize his mistakes now?" I said, trying to reassure him.
He hummed in reply, "Until then, I'm not gonna let him bring me down, fuck that, I'm gonna make sure this year is better for me," he said as he grinned.
And I'm going to do the exact same thing.
I'll make sure that this is the best year of Atsumu's high school life by a long shot.
I still had my arm wrapped around Atsumu's shoulder as we entered the cafeteria.
The whole cafeteria went silent as everyone turned to look at us.
Everyone crowded us, all the hockey players, including the girls.
"Oh my gosh, so you really did transfer here??" A random girl squealed as she stepped closer to Atsumu.
"Miya-san! I heard that you're a really good hockey player!!"
"Wait... Aren't you that centre striker from Inarizaki??"
Everyone was bombarding Atsumu with questions.
I heard a few of the more quiet kids talking and whispering, so I decided to listen, because why not?
