Chapter 7

It took 10 minutes of me standing of Harry's shoulders to try and reach the suit that had somehow managed to work its way up onto his ceiling fan. It still makes me laugh thinking about how it got up there.

Right now, I'm in Harry's passenger seat of his yellow convertible, the interior is a cream leather. After putting his suit in the back set he opens the drivers door slouching in the seat when he's sat inside.

I gaze at his side profile as he takes a deep breath closing his eyes before he switches the car on, until the exhaust is rumbling. I allow myself to close my eyes after the hectic early morning. Having to be basically thrown the air this early isn't exactly my ideal day.

The cool March air hitting my skin lets me know we're outside the parking garage. I open my eyes to bring the straw of the smoothie up to my mouth, tasting the sweet raspberry and strawberry hit my tongue. Luckily this morning the sun is just rising, the streets of inner New York are still lit in a orange glow from the side walks. Although the sun is just rising, the orange tones from the lamps and sky contrast in a golden glow.

I lay my head back to look up at the city's skyline, Yellows and greens merging into the early, crisp sky. The darkness of the buildings against the sky makes me smile, I love to look at the sky. It makes me think of how many other people are doing the same, no matter how far we are, we're all staring at the same thing. A beautiful thing. We all see beauty in the same day, even if what happens isn't so beautiful. The sky always is.

"Pretty," I murmur under my breath as we come to a stop. The wind no longer blowing in my hair.

"Doesn't it look pretty this morning" My head still laying a against his headrest, I can feel his gaze on the side of my face for a moment before he understands what I'm in my thoughts about.

"Mhmm" he hums, short and almost sorrowful. I pulled my head up to look at his eyes roaming around the sky before us. His hand reaches forward to turn on the radio, like he's trying to drown out my talking. The tape from yesterday starts playing again, he goes to take it out but I tell him to keep in in which he rolls his eyes to but none the less does, changes the song on the album.

'Me & Mr Jones' starts playing out of the speaks, due to having it so loud last night Harry turns it downs until it's just a soft hun in the background.

"I think the sky is like us" I smile at the view, he furrows his eyebrows looking like he has no idea what I'm talking about.

"the fuck are you talking about" I giggle at his question, now doubting myself and my mental stability this morning.

"It has emotions, I mean it rains, it's sunny, it's stormy" I purse my lips at him, shaking my head like it's obvious.

"You mean the weather, darling" He doesn't look at me but although the exhaustion drips from his voice I can hear his small smile. I chuckle at his tone, I mean I'm obviously seeming crazy here thinking the sky is some magical figure.

"I know... But think about it, sad, rain... happy, sunny... angry, well a storm" I start laughing at myself probably sounding idiotic, it's an idea I'd like to say is true. The weather effects our moods so I say it has one of its own.

"Drink your smoothie" I see him shake his head from the side of me, making me just laugh even more.

I place my head against the seat, breathing in the crisp air. Letting myself get wrapped up in the music and sipping my smoothie.

His fingers tap against the wheel, it's then I realise his fingers are clad with rings. Heavy looking ones with H and S on, a silver rose, a Ruby gem inside one and some other assorted ones. But those stand out to me. I want to bring them closer and inspect every one he has on his hands.
