Camilo Madrigal x reader

•° A Relationship? °•

You finished instructing all the Madrigal grandkids to get ready for breakfast and let Julietta take a break while you set the table with the help of Casita.
Many would think a giftless, middle child who wasn't even actually a part of the family wouldn't be much help or even get in the way but according to Julietta the Madrigals would fall apart without you, which made you feel pretty good about yourself. The 'famous' Madrigals depended on little ole' you after all.

"I can't find my shoes!"
Antonio cried to which you snapped out of your thoughts and remembered seeing them left next to the fridge.
"Fridge! Behind them to the left- your other left Antonio"

Maybe they were dependant on you..

At the table everyone talked happily, even Bruno who sat with you all now, your favorite place was to sit beside Camilo and Dolores whilst being close to Mirabel, but today Camilo and Mirabel sat away from you and Dolores, you didn't complain though, they could swap whatever secrets they wanted as long as they weren't scheming.

"So..Dolores, about Mariano. How are we?"
Alma asked with a glint of hope.

"We've picked out 3 names so far and have talked about it but we would want-"

You pushed away your food, baby making was the last thing you'd want to think about while eating.

"-so I'd say we're almost ready"

"Wonderful! And Y/n?"

You choked.
You? Babies? You weren't even 16 yet, or a Madrigal? You wouldn't carry the gift- Why did you matter?

"Me?!"

Abuela Alma nodded, "Have you considered a relationship at all? You're getting older and I'm sure your Tio and Tia would be very proud. Camilo and Mirabel are both around your age, and I am sure they have both given the topic a second thought."

She wasn't entirely wrong. You'd talk to Mirabel and Bruno, both explained they were not interested in romantic relationships, which you supported unconditionally.

"Wellll if Camilo is looking into it he's looking in the wrong places." You smirked, sending a wink his way; you expected him to flirt back, some cocky remark or sassy quip but he simply went red and poked at his food.
Did you strike a nerve? Did Camilo actually like you?

"I'm not opposed to the idea of a relationship."
You said moments later in a gentle tone, you could tell Camilo had flushed a deeper red and his sister and cousins were very proud. Pepa had a cloud as she cried Happy tears and Bruno and Julietta gave their signature kind smiles.
Everyone seemed supportive to what you were hinting at, thankfully.
