After her little freak out in the club, Trixie had made some choices. Like opening a tinder account and swiping right any guy her age she came across. She would talk with them a bit through chat, she ghosted some of them after they asked to go out on a date, and didn't even answer to others. Who the fuck wants to open a conversation with airports as a topic? It was fun and bizarre, how desperate some men could get. Sometimes she would answer with dry jokes or blunt comments, screaming over the guy's replies. If men have something, it's nerve, a lot of nerve. But she had found one guy that seemed interesting, they had talked for a few hours in a row.

Trixie felt a bit guilty for leaving her assignments aside to keep talking to him, but he was fun to talk to. He wasn't desperate or unnecessarily sexually suggestive like others had been. Sure, he had commented on Trixie's appearance, Trixie even thought about spicing up the conversation. After three or four days of talking they sexted, which Trixie cringed at the morning after. He had blue eyes and a sharp jawline, his name was Brian, and yes Trixie hated that name, but she could do nothing about it. After talking for a few more days, even discussing the complex human mind, they arranged a date. It was casual, at his apartment, Trixie would bring a few beers and they would talk the night away.

Trixie opened her mouth as she applied mascara, groaning when she accidentally left a black dot on her browbone. She had decided on more casual attire since this wasn't a club situation. Instead, she chose a mostly black outfit, very unusual for her. It was a black turtle neck and a shiny black skirt, completed with some tights and white go-go boots. The pop of the outfit was the accessories, her purse, necklace, and earrings made out of multiple vibrant colors. She also decided to make her eye make-up a bit more 60s, her eyeliner getting slightly bolder and graphic. Trixie felt like a doll, all dressed up and drenching herself in cologne. She smiled and winked at herself in the mirror, ugh she loves herself. She turned around and headed to the kitchen.

"Barbie went emo?!" She jumped when she heard Katya say in an exaggerated tone.

"No," Trixie turned around with the beer six-pack. "Barbie is going on a date."

"Don't worry about dinner," She arched one brow, confused. "I'll have it ready when you come back because they kicked you out."

Trixie rolled her eyes and hang her purse on her shoulder. She grabbed her keys and screamed out goodbye before closing the door. It was quite a long ride, but Trixie didn't mind it, she liked car rides. She loved to look at the people passing by as music blasted into her ears, or to come up with fake scenarios. It was peaceful, sometimes she even dreaded getting out of the car. She smiled when her uber stopped in front of her, sitting down and wiggling her butt a bit to get comfortable. She got her AirPods out and went through her favorite songs, deciding on Volcano Girls. She bumped her head to the song, lipsyncing the chorus subtly enough so the uber driver wouldn't be weirded out. Trixie's chest felt electric before getting out of the car, it had been a long time since she felt like this about meeting a guy. Maybe she never had felt like this.

She pressed on the button that ringed Brian's apartment doorbell, standing with a smile, waiting for him. Her smile deflated a bit when she was meeting with Brian, he looked a bit different than his pictures. She shrugged it off, maybe the pictures were taken some time ago, and at least he smells very good. His face looked almost the same if it wasn't for how his skin looked more aged in real life. It wasn't drastical, but Trixie now could tell that he had face tuned his pictures. They went up the apartment after he greeted her with a smile and a kiss on the cheek, clearly checking her out, Trixie enjoyed it a bit. Up the elevator was silent, awkward if Trixie was honest.

"I brought some beer," Trixie said as she sat down on the couch. "Talking while tipsy can be extremely fun."

"Oh," Brian said. "I got my own beer, but thank you." He went to the kitchen and got one of "his" beers.
