"Till then, I'll inform you on our departure in days to come." Eric exclaimed.
Katya winced and took a step forward, "Days? I've waited centuries to lay my eyes on that man and I will not wait another second, I'm far too impatient."
"We have to go now, Eric. Rescuing him must be our priority, we may not have a second opportunity."
Eric sighed. "In due time, I haven't enough information, some, but not enough to lead us in the right direction. There's one last piece of my puzzle that I need and I'm working on acquiring it."
Katya stared at him. "I'll assist you, just lead me to it."
"I'm afraid this piece belongs to someone else, therefore-" he laughed slightly.
"this matter is too difficult to handle for you. As I said, till then."
He walked backwards toward his progeny and faced up toward the night sky, flying away.
Katya felt a burning flame of rage flare up in her stomach, she was absolutely seething. She stared at the ground Eric stood on and felt nothing but betrayal, she poured her heart out to Eric and he took it for granted. Delaying the one thing that could mend the broken pieces she has harbored for almost a thousand years is the epitome of betrayal to her.
"What now?" Asked Nikolai.
"We wait, I'm gonna find that 'piece'-" She spat on the ground.
"And I'm gonna shove it up his pasty viking ass."
She grabbed Nik's waist and looked up toward the sky, they flew away.
-The Next Day-
"That'll be 4 dollars and 95 cents please." Smiled a plucky convenience store clerk. Her thick southern accent and golden blonde hair made her all the prettier.
Katya licked her lips and sped over the counter, locking her eyes with the naive girl.
"I'm afraid I lack the sufficient funds sweetie, I'm sure you can just let a few bucks slide. Right?" Katya winked as the girl nodded, she got down from the counter and turned to her left. She was greeted by a little boy staring blankly up at her, gripping onto an ice cream cone.
She smiled and gestured her head toward the entrance. He smiled and ran out, Katya followed right after and arrived at an empty Sookie's house.
She was greeted by Nik at the front entrance. "Gone?" Asked Katya.
"With Bill's progeny." Replied Nik. "I don't think she'll be back for a while."
"Alright, shall we?"
Nik opened the door for Katya and they moved the furniture and tables in the living room. Katya opened the plastic bag she obtained from the convenience store revealing a plethora of candles.
At the empty living room space they cleared, Katya placed the candles in a circular shape, she sat down criss crossed and closed her eyes, the candles immediately lit up as she did.
She took a deep breath and she was instantly teleported into the eyes of Eric.
"Good evening, Old Sport." Said Eric, walking towards a confused Bill. They seemed to be in a clothing store as Bill stood next to a rack whilst a woman stood behind him with one of the products.
He took more steps toward the vampire and eventually stopped.
"Eric?" Asked Bill
"It's the new me. You like?" He replied.
