English Translation - Comfort

While Katya and Nik were arriving at their temporary home after a day of feeding, Katya overheard something rather more relevant than Bon Temps' occasional topic of hot women and the world reknown vampire problem.

"Did you know Sookie Stackhouse is having a house party right after the death of her grandmother?" said a woman looking in her mid 40's. Although not too old, her wrinkles outnumbered her age.

The other woman she was talking to was intrigued and curious. Katya was disgusted at how casually another's pain was so easy to gossip about.

She partially stared at Nik and began to rush to their room. Katya changed into a new skirt and a pink blouse tucked in with a jean jacket. She let her perfect shade of brown hair flow and began to walk back outside to accompany Sookie at her house, mostly to see how she was coping. She knew how a personal loss felt, and she cringed at the thought of doing it around many careless people.

Once Nik and Katya arrived, the room went silent of open conversation and filled with numerous amounts of whispers. Katya stood near the front door, observing every attendee until she caught a glimpse of a man walking briskly from behind,  pushing her out of the way and running up the stairs of the house. She took one last look around the room and sped up the stairs, following this mysterious man.

She caught up to the man, and to her surprise, experienced his hand fly towards Sookie's cheek. It blazed red as soon as he removed it.

"It's YOUR fault." he yelled, pointing his finger at her right after. "Gran's dead 'cause of you!"

A girl who was obviously comforting Sookie got up and held him back before he began to speak another word."It should have been YOU." he yelled again, ignoring the woman who attempted to hold him back.

"SON OF A BITCH DON'T YOU LAY A HAND ON HER!" said the woman still trying to keep him back.

After the girl yelled at the visibly unstable man for hitting her, she pushed him back and made him accidentally bump into Katya, who was watching the scene leaning on the door seal. Katya moved back a little and the man turned around looking surprised.

Katya straightened and greeted him with a warm smile. But unfortunately for the man, it immediately disappeared and was replaced with an angered expression.

The man stood back before Katya stepped toward him, smacking him even harder than he did Sookie, he fell to the ground so hard that you could hear it from the bottom floor.

He put his hand on his face, and his mouth widened. The woman walked up, pushed Katya on the shoulders, and widened her eyes.

"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?"

Katya was pushed back again. She looked down as she was pushed with her hair covering her face. When she looked up, it revealed her fangs, a terrifying expression still plastered from before.

"I believe an apology is in order ma'am." Spoke Nik. As soon as the woman blinked, his fangs appeared.

Sookie looked at the girl in confusion as she had never seen her toughness deteriorate to a vampire so easily.

The woman looked towards the window and saw the light shining out of them, but didn't understand why they weren't already burnt.

"H-H-How are you-."

"Shhhh" said Katya, speeding over to her softly, placing her pale finger on her lips as well as cutting her off.

She removed her finger and put her fangs away.

"I attempted to give an acquaintance comfort, but I was met with an intoxicated man and an aggressive woman. The least I could know is the names of the people who so rudely greeted me." said Katya

The woman took a while to respond, but the look in her eyes made Katya feel safe. Although she was uncertain about her, she felt otherwise about Katya.

"Tara." The woman answered, scared. "The dumb fuck on the floor is Jason, Sookie's brother."

As Tara was about to speak, Jason ran to Katya and put his hands around her neck, thinking he was going to choke her and succeed. But Nik sped to Katya and picked Jason off of his feet by wrapping his hands around his neck in return.

Sookie gasped. "Jason." she said taking a step forward.

"Let him go." sighed Katya.

Jason dropped to the floor, and Sookie still ran to his aid. But Jason immediately smacked her hand away, obviously still feeling angered.

He got up expecting to leave, but Katya grabbed his arm and pulled him in front of her, looking him in the eyes.

"I won't kill you as a sign of kidness toward you sister, but after the shit you pulled here I won't let you leave until you properly mourn with your sister. "

Jason paused and left the house anyway. Katya stood still, about to go after but was stopped by Sookie, who grabbed her hand. Sookie removed herself and sat on the bed in silence, and stared blankly. "Thank you, Katya, but just leave him be. He's just as flustered as I am."

Katya sighed and sat on the bed next to Sookie.

Sookie's eyes widened, and she subtly gasped, looking at Katya, confused as to why she was here.

Sookie looked back down, unsure of what kind of person Katya was.

"Sook, do you trust her?!" Tara asked, confusingly giving Sookie an awkward look. "She's a damn vampire that can WALK in the fucking SUN."

"Katya really hurt herself summoning Gran back from the dead after she had died. I got to say my goodbye. I couldn't thank her enough."  Said Sookie looking at Tara.

"What?" Tara replied. Sookie didn't even bother to answer.

Tara sat on a chair in the room and put her forehead in her palm, feeling stressed that Sookie got involved with another vampire.
