Together

"A viking." Katya stated, staring into his eyes.

Eric slightly nodded, still staring at the naked women dancing on the pole in the middle of the bar.

Katya smirked and laid back in her chair. But it soon faded. "If it's revenge you seek, do not indulge in it. It taints your heart."

She brought over a stool from the side of the chair she was sitting on with her feet, and rested her legs. Sipping on a true blood, reminiscing her experiences.

"How were you and Godric acquainted?" He asked suddenly.

Katya chuckled and sat properly. She didn't cross her legs but folded them to the side. Her skirt was a bit see through, so her pale legs were almost vivid to anyone's eyes. Specifically the men at the bar, their eyes looked no where else.

Eric too looked at her legs and looked back at her face, paying attention to her words.

"My village in Russia was a haven, but I couldn't say the same for my family. At that time my family was in turmoil. My father raped anyone his eyes met, and he beat my mother until every inch of her body was colored red. My powers gave me aid, but not the others." She raised her hand and stared at it. She closed it and continued. "Only me."

It was now Eric's eyes that were glued to her.

"As time progressed, I stayed for the sake of a roof and clean water. Filled with regrets of not being strong enough to protect my own blood." she sat back into her chair and swallowed.

"Although one day, he appeared before me."

Eric's face was focused on her, he was interested in her story. As it resembled his, although the end to her story was what he seeked, and was what he was yet to have.

"I can't bring myself to say how, but Godric saved me, I was dead. So he turned me. No words were spoken until my heart beat felt different and my strength made my adrenaline more rapid. I won't say its what I wanted, its what I needed. I will only say that afterwards, our connection wasn't a bond."

Her eyes teared up, no blood, and before a tear could fall from her eyes she sped out of the building, but Eric went after her, a shock to him, feeling remorse was foreign to him.

He just about caught up to her and found her at the top of a building, on her knees, staring at the moon. The moonlight touched her body.

He slowly walked towards her and bent down picking up her chin. Revealing her teary eyes and scrunched up face.

"I just met you, and your tears are already on my hands."  He eyed her pale cheeks and big eyes. He has never seen a woman as beautiful.

"No blood." He whispered. His finger wiped away one of her tears. He liked the feeling. "You really are a human."

He removed his fingers and pushed back his long flowing hair. He sat down next to her and sighed.

"I am a creature of the night but I do not burn as I was created to. An abomination. "

She wiped her face. She looked at him. "Do not sympathize, its pathetic."

He changed the subject. "What's your explanation for you being half a human. Its disgusting to be what you eat."

She stayed silent for a while. "I suppose it has something to do with me being a powerful witch. My being is absorbed in magic. I suppose even vampirism was too weak to overcome me."

"He will be in our sight in no time." Eric sat down next to her and stared at the moon alongside the woman, he felt at ease for some reason.
