Wasp sat alone on her throne. The silence of the room- no, the entire hive was deafening. Every dragon on Pantala was under hee control and in that very hive right now. Finally, Wasp was in control of everything.
And yet, she wasn't still satisfied.
She knew the Othermind was up to something. It had not spoken to her in quite some time, but she knew it was doing something behind her back.
It was going to betray her, she knew it.
Wasp got up from her throne and paced around, wondering if this would get the stupid beast's attention. That thing was useless at this point, after all its still nothing more than a hideous plant.
"Fine! Have it your way!" Wasp spoke aloud, breaking the silence of the room. "Don't talk to me! Don't even congratulate me on doing something great at last. You never cared about anything anyways."
What are you even going on about, my dear Wasp?
"Don't you DARE pretend like you have no idea about what you're doing."
Wasp, you're getting paranoid again. Remember, a paranoid queen is not a good queen-
"I am NOT paranoid!" Wasp hissed. "You are plotting something, I know it. I can feel you working on something."
Wasp, my dearest partner, I wouldn't do something like that.
"Oh really?" Wasp rolled her eyes. "Like you haven't kept secret from me before."
Wasp, calm down. Now.
"I'm not a puppet of yours, you know?!" Wasp roared. "I'm QUEEN WASP! Dragons hear my name and shake in fear, for I am powerful and all knowing! Don't you know who has helped you over the course of the last fifty years? I was the one who has helped."
Wasp laughed. "And for what? You never did anything in return! You've only sat there, twiddling your claws. The best thing that's ever happened to you was me eating a piece of you all those years ago! I am in control, not you! You have NO power over me-"
Just like that, Wasp felt her knees give out. She fell to the ground with a thud as she could feel her lungs tighten up. Breathing was now like desperately gasping for air as if something was blocking her mouth. She could feel her heart slow down and get more strained as her vision blurred.
And I don't have power over you? The Othermind asked.
Wasp sputtered, struggling to form words. "N- no..."
Wasp could feel her stomach churned and twist around as her heart slowed more and more. She was blacking out, staying conscious being the only thing keeping her from possibly dying right then and there. The amount of pain she was in was indescribable as her head throbbed with pain, feeling as though something had been relentlessly clawing at it.
Submit, Wasp. You are at my mercy. Who was the one who leant you your abilities? You are nothing without me.
Wasp could feel her body being pressed harder and harder against the ground, making it even harder for her to speak. Moments before it would have been the end, Wasp spoke.
"I- I sub- submit..."
Just like that, it was all over. Everything ceased in less than a second. Wasp held her talons up to her heart as she coughed and wheezed, trying to get any air in her lungs.
Excellent. I'm glad we sorted that out.
"You... monster."
I'm many things, my dear Wasp. You call me a monster, I call myself the savior of this continent. You are barely even a small cog in the machine. No hard feelings, of course.,
