Where do I go, where do I go? Blue's panicked mind echoed. He ran aimlessly, faster than he's ever went before in school. His lungs pleaded to stop, yet he pressed on.
He was a fugitive now, so said Io.
The Hive around him shifted a bit more as he ran. The architecture was more refined and fancy. The cobblestone path under him soon transitioned to marble and granite.
He was in the HiveWing sector.
No! This is TERRIBLE! Why did I go here?! This is the worst place to- oh my Clearsight...
He paused. The small alleyway had opened up more robust and open field. A courtyard, filled with white-eyed HiveWings.
"No, no, no..." he whispered as he pressed himself up against the nearest wall. "This isn't happening. This isn't happening..."
He tried to calm himself down. He could feel the band already shooting its venom into him, making him even more lightheaded. He had to just relax for a minute.
Which just so happened to be impossible. He was overwhelmed with everything that had happened in the past hour. Luna can weave flaming silk, HiveWings can be controlled by Wasp, Io sacrificed herself for him...
And now Blue is on the run.
How can things get any worse?
He didn't know how, but before he could conjure up the bare minimum of a guess he was interrupted.
"Psst!"
Blue nearly jumped out of his scales, his neck snapping towards the sound. What greeted him was still the alleyway, dimly lit and with doors on either side of him.
The door closest to him, one that looked as though it was made from real wood, creaked open a small bit. A golden yellow snout speckled with dots of brown poked out.
"Come in! They'll see you!" the dragon quietly hissed, though no aggression was visible in their tone.
"W- what?..."
"They're looking for you, right?"
The SilkWing looked to the crowd, then back to the door. "How do you know?"
"Just come in, I won't hurt you, okay? I'm here to help."
Blue didn't know what to do. For starters, this random snout was beckoning inside this building. Every alarm was going off in his head at the mere thought of that. Stranger danger and all that.
On the other talon, what else was he to do? Sit and accept what's to happen? Let the horde of creepy dragons carry away to who knows where?
He bit his tongue as he just let his body wobble over towards the door.
"Oh thank the moons," they said. "Hurry! They're almost here." It opened up a bit more, allowing for Blue to slip right in.
The door slapped shut upon the last bit of his tail getting through. He looked around, surprised by the cleanliness of the place. He had expected to be greeted with a dungeon-like den, but this was more akin to a private office.
Paintings hung on the walls of the savanna landscape, as well as one of a family of four HiveWings. Each HiveWing was frowning though, making the picture radiate a feeling of gloom. A desk sat in the middle of the room, just a bit off to the side. Massive stacks of paper sat on the tree-stuff table. To say it was chaotic would be an understatement. The most notable thing however were two large bookshelves on either side of the room, filled to the brim with books. Rows upon rows of colourful covers, each one of varying sizes. Small ledges in them held beakers and pots of plants as well as other equipment.
