"No, way. I don't believe you!" Davey listened closely as Specs nodded their head, confirming what they said.

"It's true", Specs insists, smiling. "I, Samuel "Specs" Willis, have kissed Ruben "Romeo" Rojas, and it was wonderful."

Elmer, Davey, and I clapped for them, laughing as they bowed. It was always good to celebrate these moments. If you couldn't tell already, we're not average people, because average people don't clap in the cafeteria during lunch because their best friend just kissed his boyfriend for the first time.

I gasped. "That's why you were so happy this morning!"

Specs smirked, shrugging. "He did actually stay over last night."

"Yes, I did", a new voice comes in, sitting besides Specs. "And I had a lot of fun. Mrs. Willis is easily the sweetest woman on earth."

Specs chuckles, kissing his cheek. "Hey, Romey."

"Hi, Specs. How are you?"

"Better. I got to see your face today."

Romeo blushed and looked down. "I-I went to sectionals this morning, so..."

I sat there in shock. Is what I'm seeing non-fiction? Is the Romeo Rojas, the biggest flirt in the history of The World High, blushing? No one would believe me if I told them.

Specs chuckled and turned away, looking behind Davey. "JK, 1:00."

Davey turned around with his brows furrowed, then smiling as he realized who was behind him. "Jackie!"

"Hello", Jack waved, sitting down beside Davey, wrapping an arm around him. They were comfortable like that. "How are you?"

"Alive."

"Now, that ain't a real answer, Dave." Davey chuckled, shaking his head. "Come on, I wanna know."

"I'm great, Jack", Davey answered truthfully, checking Jack out. "I'm always great when I look at you."

Jack glared slightly as his cheeks flushed. We all turned to Elmer as he shrieked.

"You gotta learn to put your guard up, baby", a redhead chuckled. He sat down next to him. "That's not always going to be me behind-"

Elmer hugged him roughly, a wide smile on his face. "You're not in detention anymore!"

"Yeah", the redhead chuckled, patting Elmer's back. "As it turns out, going to class does shorten the time a bit."

Elmer giggled and looked at all of us. "Oh, this is Albert, my boyfriend."

"So, you're Albert", I state, pointing at him. He nods and smirks, and I can tell he holds himself pretty highly. "Huh."

"What?" His brows were furrowed and his voice was protective. I smile, glancing at Elmer.

"He talks about you a lot."

That seemed to change things, and it was true. If I remember correctly, one of the first things Elmer told us about him was that he had a boyfriend. It's not that it was random, but it did tell us he was in a relationship. We just didn't know who until now.

Albert looked at his boyfriend, love in his eyes. "You're amazing."

Elmer blushed and smiled sheepishly, focusing more on his food than his boyfriend. I chuckled as he ate the chicken rings with such focus.

"Albert, this is why we can't have conversations", Jack says jokingly, reaching across the table. He smiles as Albert slaps his hand away. "You don't function when Elmer's around."
