Hae-Ju
Tap tap
Their was silent drizzling, grazing the window, leaving the pitter patter echo of rain, as we experienced the first now sighting with one another laying down towards the window. Her naked back towards my chest as I hugged her closely. In the faint night shadow of her room, her oak toned skin looked like a glazed wine cheery hue, It's contrast in my arms made me smile kissing her shoulder, It felt like summer with her in my arms. The first snow showed itself in that moment, it was comforting to witness the snow as it was falling, it felt like mimics of rain which only make me hold her closer. My heart opened up wider for the woman in my grasp.
" For the first moment in my life, the rain that danced down the window didn't come with a suffocating feel to it." She gave a sleepy whisper.
" Oh wait that's not rain." She said with a chuckle to follow after.
" No, it isn't but I'll fight the snow and rain for you anytime you need me to." I said as I kissed her cheek.
" We are experiencing the first snow together maybe we are fated?"
" I'm not going to answer that."
" Ouch."
" I'm kidding." She said kissing my fingertips.
The world cleansed itself of negativity as the new day began. Half asleep I confessed: " I've never been this cheesy with a woman before." I heard her chuckle at my statement and pulled on my arms to wrap around her even tighter. She kissed my forearm pressed slightly under her chin.
" I wouldn't tell anyone, don't worry wouldn't want to ruin your reputation of being an annoying boss."
" What was that??" I asked as I reached over to tickle her. " You heard me. I said you were annoying." She chuckled.
" Wait are you sure about that." She paused for a moment as I adjusted myself.
" No, Don't do it!" She asserted herself in defense ready to beat the attack but couldn't help but break into laughter as I tickled her. She fanned her arm about.
" Please!"
" call truce and say sorry."
" Never!" she shouted in the middle of her laugh.
I continued, till at last she plead for air, while she continued to fight her laughter. Our finger yet again connected and locked with one another as I tapped her thumb print against mine and did the same with all our other fingers. Her eyes were like getting shy and it was a tease to observe.
We laid back down latching onto one another, as if the day was going to wait for us to rest before it became anew. It wasn't but even though we knew this, we couldn't help but stay as alert as we could just to enjoy the presence of one another till we needed to sleep.
I felt the vibration of my phone, towards my left interrupting the moment, still I reached over to see the notification from my father. " Good job these past few weeks. Ae-ra has had a good affect on you. Continue the hard work son."
For my father to call me "son" in a way that felt like his way of saying I love you wasn't something I had ever experienced. Still I didn't have the transformation I assumed would come with my father acknowledging me in that way. While in the presence I was starting quickly to care and think of more.
" The one you should be thanking is the one laying besides me right now." I thought to myself.
" Everything okay?" She asked, Turning her head slightly towards my direct, looking back.
