2nd POV

"Yu-me-ko." You called out happily to your bestfriend as you skip your way to her who seemed to be busy reading a book while leaning against a wall. Waving a hand infront of her face, she averts her attention to you and greets you with as much as energy as you did.

"What's up?" She asks then closes the book she's reading after placing the bookmark to indicate where she stopped.

"I found someone suitable for you to date!" You point both your hands to her as if you took out two pistols. She made an expression as if she was surprised and smiled softly at you.

"Who?"

"(insert name)"

"Oh her,"

"Yes and you'll meet up by that giant tree right there after school!" You point at the giant tree and Yumeko looks out the window too. She nods, her smile never leaving.

"Okay, let's hope for the best!" She exclaims at you and you smiled back at her before waving off. You've set up tons of girls for Yumeko to date but none of it was a match. She had rejected all of them.

You head to the student council's office and knocked, opening after hearing a faint 'come in'. You enter right away and smiled the second you saw Runa. She was your gaming buddy, both of you live near by each other so one of you would go one place to another just to play till both of you are exhausted.

"Is that a new game console I just saw?" You gasp and runs over to your friend in awe. The new one looked cute and it fitted Runa's style. It was perfect.

"How's Yumeko with the new one you just set up?" She ask, placing her lollipop back in her mouth and her eyes never leaving the game.

"I think it'll go well, I hope. She never dated all of the girls I introduced her." You frown, you just wanted the best for your bestfriend or did you.

Runa laughs, clearly you were too oblivious about Yumeko's feelings for you but Yumeko just go along with you. Or maybe it was just Runa who took notice. Oh how cute you looked, Runa had thought.

"I wonder why," You mumbled, but Runa has a great sense of hearing. "Because of a particular reason. A very obvious one." You raise a brow at the smaller girl. She clearly knew something that you don't.

She giggles at you, shouting a 'Yahoo!' after she wins her game and enters a new level. You sigh, forgetting about Runa's statement and enjoy on watching her play. You didn't bring your game console so you could only watch.

Runa glances at you before reaching for a lollipop in the pocket of her jacket and handing it to you.

"Thank you,"

"Mhm." She hummed out.

"Y/n, there you are!" Yumeko walks up to you. You smile at her and greeted her.

"So how was it?"

"The same as always," Yumeko rolled her eyes, bored. You frown, you tried your best afterall. You both walked home together, tho Yumeko lives farther than you.

"I have something to tell you," Yumeko says once she steps into her property.

"Yeah?" You ask back, curious.

"The reason why I rejected all of them is that I.. I like you Y/n. You make my heart flutter and brought butterflies in my stomach. I know it sounds cliché but it's the truth." She confessed.

You felt butterflies in your stomach and you were left speechless.

"I liked you for years now,. Haha it's crazy how I've kept this for so long," She chuckles to herself.

You kept silent as you stare at the taller girl.

"And.. Stop setting me up with those girls cause all I need is you." She sighs softly, her eyes piercing through yours.

"Yumeko.."

"You don't like me back? It's fine, we're still friends right?"

You bite your lip.

"I-"

"It's fine really Y/n-"

"Let me talk will you!? I like you too stupid." You groan, feeling your face heating up.

It finally happened. It seemed surreal and had pinched yourself secretly to see if this was a dream.

"Then why did you.." She trails off, confused as to why you did it.

"I was afraid, afraid that my feelings will break our friendship apart. I had to set my feelings aside to make you happy without knowing you liked me too. Ahh I'm so stupid."

You look down. Your hands gripping tightly on your bag.

"Oh my, you're literally the cutest Y/n! I wanna squish you so bad," She squeals and hugs you tightly.

"Yu-yumeko too tight!"

"I know you like it especially with my pairs on you"

"Oh my gosh stop!!"

After the confession, both of you started dating and were inseparable. Runa watched you both afar and giggles, proud that her bestfriend finally get to be witht he person she liked.
