A group of college girls, all dressed in their uniforms, stood in front of the hotel entrance after breakfast as miss Claire, their horticulture teacher, continued telling them about the daily plan until one girl in the front raised her hand.

"Miss Claire," the short girl in the front started, "Will we have time to visit the town's fair?"

A week-long spring fair, with many vendors and different games, was being held every year with the first flowers blooming. It was very popular, colorful, and fragrant, with flowers and happy townspeople everywhere. The teacher smiled and shook her head slightly.

"I'm afraid we won't have time for it today. So, maybe tomorrow, after we're done with lectures, you can visit the fair in the evening," she paused to see the excitement on girls' faces but continued, "I also want to ask you not to be distracted by Sir Bang, the princess's guard," miss Claire made another pause and everyone turned to Chan who stood behind them, leaned on a tree. "No matter how handsome he is," she looked at Daria and her friends who were giggling, "... yes, exactly... I want you all to focus on today's lecture as it will be a part of your grade."

Bang Chan sighed - he wanted to avoid attention as much as possible but the teacher just had to mention him. Numerous glances came his way but not Yona's. She waited for everyone to board their carriages so that Chan and her can climb in theirs. They, again, traveled in silence to the flower fields where miss Claire waited for everyone before beginning her first lecture of the day in front of vast fields of bloomed tulips. The sight was breathtaking: around them, for as much as the eye could see, long 'carpets' of tulips bloomed, their captivating beauty making everyone speechless. After admiring the sight for a few moments, everyone took notes on the history of tulips and the anatomy of the flowers. The teacher then proceeded and excitedly told them about the meanings of different colored tulips.

"The most known meaning of tulips is perfect and deep love. As tulips are a classic flower that has been loved by many, they have been attached to the meaning of love. They're ideal to give to someone who you have a deep, unconditional love for, whether it's your partner, parents, or siblings," miss Claire sighed lovingly which several girls did as well, "Like many flowers, different colored tulips have different meanings. It's important to know the color meaning of flowers, especially if you're gifting them and want to send the right message," young teacher took a step back and raised the first flower she held, "White tulips have a meaning of forgiveness, respect, purity, and honor," she paused so that everyone had time to take notes, "Next, yellow tulips are one of the happiest flowers around and they even have a meaning of cheerfulness and hope. If you're the romantic type and in a new relationship, red tulips have the meaning of eternal love and passion. If you're wanting to win someone over send them a big bunch of gorgeous red tulips and that way confess your love," many girls giggled at miss Claire's words, embarrassed, some of them even glancing at Bang Chan who stood by the carriage with his arms crossed, "Pink tulips are known for meaning affection, caring, good wishes, and love. Although not as deep or passionate love as red tulips represent. Pink tulips are great to send to friends and family members to show them you care. And finally..." miss Claire cleared her throat and raised a beautiful purple tulip to the class, "... purple tulips have a meaning of royalty and elegance," everyone quickly took notes, mesmerized by the luxurious-colored flower.

Saddened, miss Claire had to end her romance flower stories as it was time for their second lecture - flower arranging.

Girls had the flower arranging class in a big hall of a local school, with two long wooden tables in the room. They were all given the same number of flowers, greens, and other materials needed for their work. Tulips were the theme of the day so they all worked on arranging red tulips in a bouquet. A local flower shop owner, along with their teacher, demonstrated the process to young noblewomen. Some were more successful and got praised. Young Duchess Daria was one of those students. Her friends whispered to her and she hesitantly stepped out of the room, taking a chance when the teacher wasn't there. Princess Yona noticed that small group of girls and their giggly commotion and rolled her eyes, knowing exactly what Daria's intentions were.
