Chapter 66

Again a sleepless night went by because of my failure.
How many times am I going to fail? As a friend, as a mentor, as a daughter? What more is there?

Is my destiny to be stripped of everything I want to protect?

I've never thought of my sole happiness, only about other's happiness, tried to keep everyone safe even if it meant my death, but in the end, I'm the bad guy.

I never felt this helpless even when I was a kid. I always knew what I wanted, how I was going to achieve it, but here, I'm lost.

I didn't eat anything, I was too in my guilt that I couldn't get myself to even eat after seeing everyone I care about die infront of me.

I was sitting on the edge of my bed, when the commandos entered my room.

"Boss has called you." They announced and practically dragged me out of the room, to the backyard lawn where Eunjae was last night.

The commandos made me stand in a place, as they stood beside me.

I look around to see, a table and a projector on it, with a screen. I look around at the guards gathered there.

When did they installed this?

I immediately knew that Jimin was going to present a show infront of them, but about what?

I saw the boys walk towards the place with a look that they too didn't know anything about this. Yoongi and Hoseok gestured at me asking what was happening, I shrugged my shoulders not knowing anything.

"What is happening?" Jungkook asked as to the men beside me, he walks towards me.

"Boss told us to ask you to wait." They replied. He ordered them to move and stood beside me. "You know what's happening?" He asked again. I shook my head, not having a clue.

Why am I so scared? Something bad is about to happen.

Jimin stepped out of the mansion accompanied by his commandos, and I could instantly tell, it was going to be something very bad.
Why? Because he was angry and more than that, he was ready to get that anger out.

"Thank you everyone to gather here as I asked for." He announced while glancing at everyone. "You all might be wondering, why are we here? Well it's simple that it is something very important that needs to be solved infront of everyone." He faces me. "It's about her." He points at me.

Di-did he find out?

"The beloved Y/n, who is the head of security. Impressive." He smirks. "After experiencing what Daisy did to me. I couldn't just believe anyone randomly, even my friends.* he titled his head a little* So when I got the information that this girl right here, is betraying us just like Daisy did. I had to bring this infront of you all."

Terra, Gina and even Aunt Joanne were present here.

He made sure to leave no one behind.

"You have tried to save everyone from this. Who is going to save you Y/n, because I present your true character infront of them, none of them will help you." Jimin said through gritted teeth.

Jimin walks up to the table, and plays a voice recording.

"I'm acting to be…by their side, so that I can get some information out, and when I get what I actually need, I'll send it to you so that you could come with the troops and take down this Dynasty."

Shit! How-wait! There were microphones attached on other places on the balcony. Shit! Shit! Shit!

"The person who we trusted so much. Y/n is this your voice?" He questioned me as I clenched my jaw. "Y/n?" He asked again and I slowly nod.

"Let's listen some more before judging." He plays it again.

"What about Jimin? What will you do about him?" I could hear Hye-jin speak.

"I don't know...but I'll have to take care of him too. I'll...I'll make him believe my play don't worry. He's falling into the play, so I'm good here, don't-" it cut in between, and it was my voice.

Such a immature mistake. I should've known better. I said to myself and I closed my eyes for a moment.

"Okay don't be, Jimin and the others are sorted for now. We have to hurry before anyone knows, before anyone knows I'm talking to you. So listen I need you to trace this call-"

"And after you find it, don't inform anyone about it yet, I want to…find some more things. Only inform others when I'll contact you."

"Didn't even hesitate to get this place's address leak. Is someone like this you call loyal?" He questioned everyone present there, his guards obviously shooks their head no.

"I don't trust this." Jungkook took my side and I immediately knew what Jimin wanted.

"Why? Because you're her friend?" He asks Jungkook as he advances towards him. "Is it because of the special bond call friendship there between you? But what means the world to you means nothing for her." He made a sad face and played it again.

"...they're all my friends, they wouldn't suspect me for anything, and I'm in a position they won't be able to do anything." The recording stopped.

"So what do you say now people?" Jimin announced infront of everyone. "Y/n?" Jin questioned and look away from his eyes.

This isn't what it looks like, but even if I explained it Jimin won't let it go without proving me wrong.

"I don't trust this. We've already made a mistake with Hyerii's life, and now I won't make another mistake." Jungkook declared as he  glared back at everyone.

"Is this your voice Y/n? Did you say this?" Namjoon asked, and I nod. "Answer me properly." "Yes. It's my voice and I said that!" I said out.

"Jungkook, it's her voice, she said it." Taehyung reasoned pulling onto Jungkook's wrist. "But she will have a reason. Don't you?" Jungkook turn to face me with hope in his eyes.

"Reason? Like Daisy?" Yoongi said. "We didn't forgive Daisy how can we forgive her? Her reason was a valid one too, but a betrayal is a betrayal." He asserted.

"But Hyung-" "She's a double agent. Working for us when she actually was sending our intel to her department. I had the proof but then I lost it again." Yoongi revealed and I wasn't disappointed. I knew this had to happen one day.

I couldn't look up to anyone, I was doing my job, but at the same time I felt ashamed of betraying them.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Yoongi approaching me.

"I wasn't going to tell this to anyone. But now that I saw what you actually want from us, I had no choice." He whispered to me and walked away.

I wanted to say sorry for breaking his trust but I was doing my duty, I'm still a police officer, am I not?

"I will still listen to noona's. Tell me, what was your reason?" Jungkook asked again and I looked at him with soft eyes.

What did I do to deserve someone like him?

I was about to speak out when Jimin stepped in, stopped me from saying anything more.

"Jungkook…I never thought that I'd say something like this, in this way. But I had too." Jimin hand rest on his shoulder.
