(TW~Blood)

He missed our session. I frowned looking over at the empty couch. He promised me. He... No matter. I'll go to him. I sighed as I snuffed out my cigarette and made my way out of my office. It didn't take long to get to his room. I could hear a slightly muffled whine and I frowned. "Anti?" I knocked on the door but there was no response. The whine got a bit louder turning into a cry of pain and I cringed. I turned the knob letting the door slowly open on its own and I froze. The smell of blood was immediate. My first thought obviously was that Anti lashed out. But as the whines continued my attention was drawn to the bed and my heart literally stopped.

Anti was in bed gripping the covers tightly as sweet practically poured down his face. He was shaking and crying out. I could see wrapping around his neck completely saturated and soaking through. A small puddle of blood soaked the pillow and bed from where it came through the wrapping.

I ran over instantly going into doctor mode. How did this even happen? I tried to wake him up but nothing was working. I called out to him but he didn't so much as flinch. He started to stiffen latching onto anything he could as he no doubts started to feel even more pain. I tried to run and get a cloth. Anything I could get to clot the bleeding but the moment I moved Anti grabbed my arm. It was like a vice. He held on so tight I was sure to get a bruise but that didn't matter right now.

"CHASE!" I cried out to the only other ego I knew Anti had grown somewhat attached to. He needs to feel safe right now. If I called for Jack he would be too scared of hurting the host to remain calm. Jackie was out of the picture and the others Anti just doesn't know them anymore. "CHASE I NEED YOU!"

"H̵-̶H̶e̷l̸p̵.̶.̵.̷" Anti's voice cracked as his eyes fluttered open a bit. They were glossed over and clearly septic. He didn't seem to see me or anything for that matter. "H̵-̶H̶e̷l̸p̵.̶.̵.̷" His breath hitched before practically dying out and I could see him go limp.

"CHASE..." I turned to see the very ego I was calling standing there in the doorway with this look of pure horror on his face. "I... I need a-a cloth. I need..." He ran out of the room before I could even finish and I frowned. When he came back he tossed the washcloth over to me with my medical bag before jumping on the bed and pulling Anti in. "Chase..."

"Shh, Sam. It's going to be ok." Anti tensed up slightly as Chase started to brush his hand through the glitchy ego's hair. I narrowed my eyes as Anti slowly let go of me and moved over to hold Chase. "I'm here ok? I'm not going to leave you, Sam." Chase looked up at me and I nodded as I moved to remove the wrapping from around his neck. The moment I did Chase's face when white. The scar on his neck from before we had ever met him was no fresh and open wound. It was deep. Blood fell from it fast before I got the chance to care for it. There really wasn't any caring for it while it was bad. I had to stop the bleeding. Chase held him tighter as Anti's strength fell too. His arms fell limp behind him as Chase took the cloth from me holding it tightly against him without closing his airways.

"Sam?" I narrowed my eyes again as I searched for a suture kit. "Sam I need you to focus on my voice ok?" I looked up for just a split second to see Chase crying as he held Anti in his arms. The look in his eyes... I found the kit and jumped up but Chase wouldn't move away. He just took a deep breath and leaned into Anti's ears. "It's ok. Everything is ok, Sam. I need you to breathe for me. Ok? Can you do that? Can you breathe?" I was about to scold him for being ridiculous when Anti's chest started to move again. A slow and steady rhythm only slightly deviated by the ever subtle shake and hitch that would happen. Chase's eyes narrowed slightly and he frowned.

"Sam... Can..." He looked over at me and sighed. "I want you to hold onto my hand ok?" Chase carefully set Anti down taking the ego's hand in his with a scared smiled. "Squeeze it tightly so I know you can hear me." I frowned again. What's the point in this? There is no way... My eyes went wide as Anti's hand clenched around Chase's and Chase lit up.

"What is..."

"Just hurry up and help him!" I was taken back by the force in Chase's voice but I just nodded. I took a deep breath slowly removing the clothe from Anti's neck and set to work. Every time I sent the needle through Chase would whisper something to him. I tuned it all out. All that mattered right now was stitching this up. When I was done I looked up to see Anti's eyes opened staring up at the ceiling. They were back to being brown again. Chase was a total mess. Anti looked over at me with confusion as he reached up to stitched and winced. It wasn't done bleeding but it should start to clot better now.

"What happened?" His voice was raspy and horse as he slowly tried to push himself. He didn't even bother to wipe the blood off of him. Something was definitely wrong here. I've been sensing it since before the family meeting. I just can't put my finger on it.

"YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THI FUCKING HOUSE!" Chase boomed causing me to jump. Anti didn't o much as flinch.

"What do you mean leave? Why would he..." Anti sighed as he looked down at his blood covered hands and frowned.

"I told Stacy I would not be here when the boys arrived." I glanced over at Chase who was just watching Anti as if any moment he would turn to dust. "I have to respect her wishes..."

"Sam, you almost died." I froze as Anti started to laugh. It was broken too far a difference than how it used to be to sound anything like his.

"I can't die, Chase. I'm a demon." His eyes went black for a split second before going back to brown. "You keep forgetting that."
