5 months. 5 months when ni-ki and sunoo started dating after they, well, you already know that.
they were happy and their friends were also happy for them.
the two dated in amusement parks, library, in their dorms or just simply walking in the street while they hold hands.
now that it will be their six monthsary, ni-ki is planning, alongside with their friends, to suprise sunoo.
they were all now in the field of daisies, playing around and planning the surprise.
there were fairy lights, a table for two, wine glasses, wine and delicious meals cooked by jay.
it's already 5:00 in the afternoon and all of them were waiting for sunoo to come.
ni-ki was nervous but still composed himself.
his eyes sparkled when he saw sunoo walking towards him. he was about to say something when noticed that sunoo was not in his usual self. his skin paled, he looked thinner and his lips dried.
“sunoo hyung-”
“let's break up”
ni-ki didn't heard it right. what did he just said?
when sunoo noticed his confused expression, he repeated the same words he said that sent thousands of daggers to ni-ki's chest.
“let's break up, ni-ki”
ni-ki and the others who witnessed it, gasped or their eyes widened.
“hyung.. this is not the right time to joke like that-”
“i'm not joking, ni-ki. i'm serious. let's break up”
“h-hyung..”
“i'm tired. i'm tired of this. all this time i thought i love you but no, i never did. i just.. used you”
oh shit. magic word.
all of them froze from their places. that didn't sound right to their ears.
when no one utter even a single word, sunoo spoke again.
“please, forget about me, ni-ki” the last thing he said before walking away.
ni-ki only looked at sunoo's figure that was now far away. he was questioning his worth. he was questioning himself. he was questioning the love and efforts he gave.
‘it wasn't enough? all i did was loving you and i thought you did too. but..’
ni-ki couldn't take it anymore, so he cried. he yelled. he kicked the table, he pulled the fairy lights down and punched his clenching fists on the tree. it wasn't enough so he punched and punched again until his friends stopped him.
jungwon was hugging ni-ki from the back. jake was holding his hands while the others looked at him with worry and sympathy.
“why.. why.. why..” he kept repeating those words 'til his voice hoarse and was tired repeating the same word.
everything, was now ruined and gone.
