as soon the girl told them why sunoo was at the hospital, the six of them hurriedly went out of the school and went to the hospital where sunoo confined at.
ni-ki's heart was beating fast like a drum. unbeknownst to others, ni-ki was now crying. he already build conclusions in his mind right now.
‘is this the reason why he broke up with me? because he's sick?’
as they reached the room where sunoo was, ni-ki desperately knocked on the door three times. the door opened and a woman, maybe around early forties, confusingly eyed the six young men standing infront of her son's hospital room.
“may i know- oh ni-ki! is that you?” the woman's eyes widened as she saw ni-ki who's now tall and looking handsome.
when ni-ki nodded his head, sunoo's mother smiled even widely.
“you're so tall now and you look even more handsome!” she said and pinched ni-ki's cheeks.
she eyed the 5 other young men standing after ni-ki. the boys introduced themselves as sunoo's friends.
speaking of sunoo..
“m-mrs. kim.. where's sunoo hyung?” ni-ki asked. the woman's smile faded away as she motioned them to come in. the six of them entered his room and when they saw him..
sunoo was lying on the hospital bed. his eyes were closed. his body became thinner and skin became paler.
ni-ki's legs were trembling while walking towards sunoo. as he sat down on the chair near the bed, he clasped sunoo's left hand with his.
“sunoo hyung..” he muttered as his tears fell down to his cheeks. he kept muttering sunoo's name until he felt that the grip tightened.
he looked up and saw sunoo faintly smiling at him with his eyes half-lidded open.
“n-ni-ki..” hearing his name coming from his lips made his heart thump wildly.
“sunoo hyung..”
“how are you, ni-ki?”
‘the fuck he meant by that? i should be the one asking him that not him!’
“it should be the other way around right? why is he the one asking ni-ki that?” hearing that sassy voice, sunoo smiled as he muttered his name.
“you didn't change, jungwon” sunoo said with a faint voice. jungwon stepped forward and gently patted sunoo's head.
“how are you, sunoo hyung?”
sunoo smiled at them. “i'm completely fine guys. don't worry”
jay scoffed. “you were?”
jungwon nudged him using his elbow on his boyfriend's side making him winced even though it's not that hard. jungwon rolled his eyes at him for being sarcastic and for overreacting.
“don't overreact. my nudge isn't that hard.”
they all laughed because of the two. seeing and hearing his son's laugh making sunoo's mother's heart at ease.
that's all she wants. seeing and hearing his son laughing and playing around with his friends, again.
but, we all know that this kind of scene will end by a nightmare soon.
