There is a saying that says if you love something set it free and if it comes back it was meant to be. Well that's a bunch of bull at least in my case it is. Do you know how many things I set free that I love and it never came back. For example, I set my dog free and he never came back. In fact I actually don't know what happened to Rufus. I really loved that shaggy brown haired dog. But Rufus isn't the reason for my sudden need to run 50 miles away from the cafeteria. The reason is currently making conversation with my man in the lunch line. The reason is the tall, light skin, still sexy ass hell with a gorgeous smile. The reason's name is Josh as in my ex Josh. Now before you call me out on my lies, Josh was going to a different high school. I don't even know when he transferred but I wished he would have stayed where he was. If the fact that he's currently talking to my boyfriend isn't bad enough, try getting a text message from him earlier stating that I still belonged to him and I can't never replace him.
So imagine how I must feel to see him act so chummy with my boyfriend, like nothing is wrong. Like he didn't just get into stalker mode on me a few minutes ago. The more I look at him, the angrier I got. I can't believe I actually thought I loved him. Well that's not true I still care about him, he's just starting to look more and more creepy by the second. This has to stop. This friendliness between these two is too weird. I walked up closer and put my arms around Adam to get his attention. He immediately looked down at me and smiled. I put my index finger in a come hither and he moved down closer to my face. I gave him a peck on the lips, knowing good and well he would want more. When I started to pull away he took my bottom lip between his teeth and sucked it back into his mouth. When he was satisfied, he finally let me get air. We stared into each other eyes until we heard someone clear their throats. I turned around and looked up at an angry looking Josh. Adam pulled me closer to him,"Josh, this is my girlfriend Aby,Aby this is Josh." I put on a forced smile and said,"we already know each other. Josh is the ex from the skating rink." Adam looked surprised and then guarded,"now that you mention it, you do look familiar." Josh laughed and rubbed the back of his neck,"yea man, me and Aby go waaaaay back." He looked at me up and down which caused Adam to put his hand on my hip. I touched his hand to sooth him," well, that's in the past," I looked up at Adam,"and he is my future." I looked back at Josh to find him smiling,"well if you like I love it." Then he winked and walked away.
Adam and I grabbed our food and decided to eat outside. Once we were alone he pulled me into his lap facing him," I don't like him." I started running my finger up and down the collar of his shirt and waited a minute before I spoke,"but you were just talking to him." He pulled me closer to him,"that was before I knew he was your ex.'' I looked up at him and wrapped my arms around his neck,"are you jealous." He put his face on the side of my neck and kissed it. I took in a deep breath and he said,"I have no need to be jealous. I just don't trust him." He gave me kisses from the bottom of my neck to my cheek. He trailed slow kisses from my cheek to the right corner of my lips. Before he kissed my lip be said,"just stay away from him." He had me so far gone that he could have told me to jump off a bridge and I would have done it. I nodded my head and he gave me a passionate kiss on the lips.
The task was easier said than done. It was like the universe was against me. He was in every last single one if my classes that afternoon. The only time I felt comfortable was when Adam and I was finally able to be in class together. The bad part about all of this was that Josh made it his mission for me to know that he was nearby. He initiated conversations with me and even tried touching me. He crossed the line with the text messages whenever he seen Adam touch me. I was beyond relieved that school was over because I wouldn't have to deal with him. I happily skipped to my locker but my smile turned into a frown when I seen him waiting at my locker. I stomped the rest of the way there a and ignored him while I opened it. I seen another white piece of folded paper slip out and I put it in my bag to look at later.
When he figured I wouldn't say anything to him he started talking,"so you're just going to ignore me." I started switching out my books,"that's the plan." He put his hand on the left side on my locker,"what did I do to you." I looked over at him and rolled my eyes,"you know exactly what you did. What are you even doing here at my school." He laughed,"you know why I'm here. You never answered my question and I see why. You call yourself moving on,but that white boy don't know how to handle you like I do baby." He ran his finger down the length of my arm, and I'll be lying if I said it didn't make me tingle a little, but I pushed those feelings away. I moved his finger off of me and turned towards him with my hands on my hips,"that white boy has more swag than you ever will. He makes me more happy than you could ever, he cares about me and makes me want to fuck him through the night. So no Josh I have no idea why you're here, but let's be clear I'll never be your Aby again."
I left him standing at my locker and I never felt more proud of myself. I had just told my emotional torture that I was done. I was so happy that I didn't notice Adam was standing down the hall, and when I bumped into him I was brought back into reality. He helped me up and looked back down the hall at Josh walking the opposite direction."What was that about," he asked. I shook my head,"it was nothing, I just had to get a few things straight." He looked down at me for a minute before deciding to let it go,"he has one more time to come close to you. Are you staying to watch me practice." I kissed his cheek,"of course baby, you know I love to see you move up and down the court. Don't worry about him I'm sure he got the message loud and clear." He gave me another kiss and we walked to gym together. While he was practicing I got another text message from Josh you might be done with me, but I'm not done with you.
