After dropping the twins off at nursery, Maya arrived at the station to find a bouquet of roses with her name on them. Vic teased her about a secret admirer, but Maya knew exactly who sent them—Carina. The note read: "Hi Bella, I just wanted to give you a little treat. I know how busy it's been at the station. Please try to take it easy. From your favourite Italian – Carina." Smiling, Maya placed the flowers in a vase in the beanery, where Andy immediately started teasing her.

Later, after a long shift and a heart-melting reunion with her twins, Maya messaged Carina and invited her to the station. Carina agreed, even offering to cook. Andy, thrilled at the idea of food, pestered Maya until she passed along the request—Carina happily accepted.

When Carina arrived, she greeted Maya with a warm hug. The two hadn't defined their relationship, but the closeness was undeniable. Andy joked that Maya should "keep her" when she learned Carina was making lasagne. The dinner was a hit—everyone raved about the food, and Carina gently scolded Maya for eating too fast after skipping meals during a hectic day.

After dinner, the two women stood outside the station, the air cool around them. Maya impulsively invited Carina over for dinner next Friday, and Carina agreed without hesitation. As they leaned in for a kiss, Jack interrupted with a loud "Get it, Bishop," earning twin glares from both women. Carina kissed Maya's cheek before leaving, and Maya sighed to herself, smiling: "Ugh, I do have it bad."
