Don't want to watch you adore someone who isn't me.
Don't want to notice your eyes light up when she walks through the door or see your hand reach for hers while I silently scream from across the room.
Don't want to ache with envy of the time she gets, the midnight strolls and the weekend breakfasts.
Don't want to bump into you at farmer's markets feigning delight at your grin and her glow.
Don't want to tumble through pleasantries with darkness and dread.
Don't want to fight nightmares that would have been daydreams except that she popped in.
Don't want to imagine the whispers that occur in your bed or the thoughts of desire that run through your head.
Of course I want you to be happy.
That isn't a lie, but I want you to be happy with me instead.
