the end of the summer with your hands in mine.
we spent every minute together like it's our last
no room for hesitation.
you remind me how happy you are to be mine
we stayed in frozen time
by moments we never shared.
the one's we've only dreamed of
we settle for love that has no future
we settle for what could have been
instead of what is.
we did the best we could
with what we had.
