3. I'm not a dog

Yusuke opened his eyes slowly. A headache attacked him right away, also the pain all over his body.

"Fuck.." He cursed quietly and closed tight his eyes again.

He remember what happen last night. He even remember the pain of being kicked and punched. Then he remember about that man.

Yusuke get up abruptly when he remember that man. But he regrets it instantly. His body hurts so much.

"You shouldn't get up yet." A man get inside and told him.

Yusuke kept looking at this man. He's a different man from the man last night. Who is he? He thought.

Then Yusuke looks around and just realized that he doesn't know where he is either.

The man earlier came closer to Yusuke, he helped Yusuke to laid back down, then he put his cold hand on Yusuke's forehead. And Yusuke said nothing when the man did it all.

"Your fever has gone down, that's good." The man said. "Don't move too much. If you feel uncomfortable you can call me, I'll help you to change your position so that you don't have to move your own body and make it worse." Then he said softly.

Yu kept staring at the man. Who is he? Why is he so nice at him?

The man then chuckled softly and finally introduced himself. "I'm Ray. I'm a doctor who treated you yesterday."

"Ah.." Yusuke replied softly. So that man yesterday listened to his words not to take him to hospital, so he took him to a doctor instead.

But where is this? That man's house? Or this doctor's house?

"This is my house." Ray said. He looks at how Yusuke kept looking around, so he guessed Yusuke is wondering about where he is.

Yusuke nodded his head. Impressed with the doctor who could read his mind.

"Um.." Yusuke tried to speak. But his throat is very dry, so it's not that easy.

Ray smiled softly and gave him a glass of water beside his bed. Yusuke smiled shyly because he didn't see the water before. He could have take it himself.

"Where is he?" Then Yusuke asked after his throat feels better.

Ray blinked his eyes, "Who? Sam?" He asked back.

Is his name is Sam? Yusuke didn't know it. But he nodded anyway.

"Work. He said he has meeting this morning but he'll be right back after they're finished." Ray answered.

Yusuke nodded his head slowly. He's not here. Should he run away now?

"How do you know him?" Ray then asked.

How should he explain it? Yusuke thought.

"Wait.. work.." Yusuke muttered softly. "What day is it?"

"Monday."

"Mon.. Ack!" Yusuke was about to get up again, he forgot about his own painful body.

"I told you not to move too much." Ray said sighing softly as he once again helped Yusuke to lay down.

"Sorry.. I.." Yusuke kept muttering softly and also moaning in pain softly. "My job.. I.. I should have go there yesterday." Yusuke hissed softly. His boss would definitely fire him if he didn't show up without notice.

"Ah.. you got call last night. Sam has already tell your boss everything." Ray explained softly.

Yusuke let out a relieved breath. He really should say thank you to this Sam.
