25. I'm hungry

The dinner has started a while ago. The guests, turned out Sam has known them since he was a kid. The father, Uncle Lee is Sam's father's business partner since long time ago. And the daughter, Grace was Sam's school friend since elementary until highschool.

Sam knew all along that his father has planned for Sam to marry the daughter of this family. Of course because the parents want their business to grown even bigger with the marriage. But Sam refused this marriage arrangement.

He will marry someone for love, not for business.

"Since when did I become your boyfriend?" Yu asked in whisper. 

He didn't have the chance to complain earlier. And thanks to Sam's declaration earlier, the situation is now turn awkward.

"Sorry, should I tell them that you're my husband instead?" Sam asked Yu back.

Yu choked when he heard what Sam said. But Sam just laughed softly then patting on Yu's back gently.

Sam's father kept looking at these two. He doesn't want to believe at what Sam said. But however, Sam is his son. He knew that the way Sam looking at Yu is somewhat different. Even his father has never look Sam's eyes like this towards anyone before.

"Yusuke, right?" Sam's father suddenly spoke.

Yu turned his head to Sam's father and tensed right away. Sam is scary, but his father is a hundred times scarier.

"What's your family name?" Sam's father asked.

Yu thinks about it for a second, why would he asked about his family name.

"Maruyama." But he answered it anyway.

"I've never heard it before." Sam's father then said. "Have you?" Then he asked his friend.

"What business is your family run?" Uncle Lee then asked politely.

Yu smiled softly. So that's why. "Nothing. My name was from my father but he died when I was a baby, and my mother has also died a while ago." Yu explained slowly.

Sam kept looking at Yu. He explained it so slow, and calmly. He feels proud that Yu doesn't feel intimidated by his father and his friend.

"Ah, I'm sorry to hear that." Then Uncle Lee said quietly.

Yu just smiled softly. He then took a glance at Sam whose also smiled softly at him.

"So how did you two meet? I'm curious." Grace then asked.

She also knew all along about the plan that she will marry Sam someday, she's been waiting for it for a long time. And today, she thought that the long wait is over, but turned out Sam brought someone, a man, as his lover.

Having Sam as her husband would be a total hit. She never thought that Sam is a gay. No wonder he never saw Sam with any girls before. She thought that was because Sam knew that they will get married anyway someday. But she thought it wrong.

"I fell for him first." Sam answered.

Yu held his breathe again. Sam then grabbed his hand and hold it tightly.

"I met him at a club, and fell for him in the first sight." Sam then continued.

"So you are gay." Sam's Mom then said.

Sam let out a soft chuckled. "Maybe. Maybe not. I never feel it for anyone else except Yu before. So.. I don't know."

Yu tightening his grip on Sam's hand. He wanted to curse at him, but he hold it really well inside his head. Wondering until when he has to act as Sam's boyfriend and listen to all of this bullshit.
