33. A Liar

Sam and Yu just arrived at the office, they were about to get off the car when suddenly Sam's phone ringing.

Sam frowned right away when he saw the caller that is his father.

Yu saw it too, he then smiled softly and patted on Sam's head gently.

"I'll get off first." Yu said.

Sam let out a sigh but then he smiled at Yu whose getting off first. He didn't want to pick up the phone, but knowing his father's character, he would call Sam nonstop until he pick it up.

So Sam has no other choice.

Yu is still waiting for the elevator, daydreaming, then suddenly he got surprise when someone shouted out his name loudly.

There is only one person who would do this.

"Good morning, Evan." Yu then greeted him first.

Evan then pulled Yu's body and checked on him from head to toe. Yu doesn't understand why Evan did this, but he has no energy to fight back, so he just let him be.

"What are you doing?" Still, Yu asked him in curious.

"Are you okay?" Evan asked in worry, then turned Yu around to look at his back too.

"I'm okay. As you can see." Yu then pulled out Evan's hands from him.

"Were you with Mr. Sam last night?" Evan then asked.

"U-huh?" Yu almost answered honestly but thank God he could pretend confuse in last second.

"No, wait, he should be in London, right?" Evan asked again.

"Ah, no he's back last night."

Evan gasped again, "So was it really mr. Sam on that video?"

"What video?" Yu asked in confuse.

"This." Evan then showed his cellphone to Yu.

It's a video, seems like it's a footage of CCTV from the billiard place. It shown a group of man, clustered together as they watching

Yu furrowed his eyebrows, the video didn't show tha face of the attacker, but his back looks familiar.

Then Yu looked at the other person who pulled the attacker away from the one he's been attack so brutally earlier, and Yu knows right away, it was Zack, and the attacker, Sam.

And the one whose been beaten up, it was that man yesterday. So Zack really did what he said. But how about Sam, he didn't say anything about it.

"When did this happen?" Yu mumbled quietly.

"Last night." Evan answered him. "People said that it's Mr. Sam. It didn't show his face clearly, but.. Oh. Oh! What happen with my phone? Why is the video gone? Is it broken?" Evan was talking but then he panicked as the video is suddenly gone and thought that it was his phone thats broken.

Yu sighed softly. He remembered that last night Sam was gone for a while. Yu thought it was just a little while, he said he was thirsty, but Sam lied.

"Oh, g-good morning, Mr. Sam." Evan stuttered as he surprised that Sam suddenly is behind Yu. He didn't see Sam coming here before.

Yu turned his head to look at Sam, but he just stay quiet.

"Hm? What were you talking about?" Sam asked softly.

Yu kept staring at Sam. How he looks so casually fine even after what he did last night. How he lied to Yu.

Yu turned his head away from Sam. Sam is really good at lying. And Yu hates liar the most.
