Aria's pov

I wasn't surprised to hear my cousin brother give advice to his soon to be fiancé to stay away from me as I was aware about the real reason behind it. His crown!

I understood the pressure being a crown holder..but his pressure was kinda different than mine...because becoming a king would mean he'll have more power in terms of finance and reputation that comes along with it. Not only he will become one of the important person but also respectable one too. And if Maithili complete all the remaining tasks successfully—she'll marry him. And people will know me as her guide which will be good for my reputation but it might risk their reputation?

But if Maithili doesn't complete all of the tasks then she'll face a lot of backlash from media and might end up living a very mediocre life or worse...but I wouldn't let that happen to her. She will win as I wouldn't allow anything bad happening to her!

Raghav's pov

"Seriously why are you crying?!" I placed my hands in my pockets while I walked to her.

She didn't reply anything but wiped her tears with her dupatta and turned to the other side facing the fountains.

"Are you gonna speak up or not?!" I asked worriedly.

'Damn it!'

I walked closer to her and stood in front of her. Her nose was slightly reddened and so were her eyes. I slowly knelt down and gently held up her by her chin. "Did anyone say anything to you?!" I asked. "I swear I am going to—
She removed my hand and stood up abruptly. "No —and please stay away from me now on!" She said without looking at me.

"Maithili—

"Lady Maithili!" She said correcting me and then just simply walked away.

'Did I do something wrong?!'

I stood there in silence watching her walk away.

Next day...

As I was going to enter the hall where the next task was going be assigned a lady stopped me.

"Sorry sir no men are allowed inside for today's task."

"Why?"

It's a task where all the potential brides will present their dance forms since there's no selection yet so all the potential brides will be considered royal and royal women aren't allowed to dance in front of any man except their husband..." she replied politely.

"Alright...so how'll the results are going to announce aren't two of the judges are male?"

"Ranisa is going to be here as the judge along with two other Ranisa from different states.."

"Mr. Rathore!"

"Princess Aria"

"I know why you are here?! It's because of her right?"

"None of your business Crown-Princess." I replied calmly.

"All I can say is stay away from her. She's going to be—

"Let me stop you right there Princess Aria!" I interrupted her. "Please don't assume anything! And I know what you are trying to do by being her guide. I also know that she doesn't know about your issues with your dearest cousin Aahil and his family!?!" I walked towards her.
"Now now don't be surprised! I know he doesn't hate you nor the family but they kept quite the distance..didn't they Princess?!" I raised a brow staring at her.

"I may not be a royal but I am aware of it. That how people use other people to benefit them...like you are using her!"

"Raghav!"
