"I'm glad you had a good day" Snape said once Professor Lupin had left his quarters. "Now, you've got about 45 minutes until your father will be here for parents' evening, so I suggest you get yourself a shower and get changed into some of your clean school uniform" Snape continued after checking his watch. "What are we going to tell him?" Draco asked, immediate panic resurfacing at the thought of seeing his dad so soon. "What do you mean?" Snape questioned, not sure what Draco was referring to. "About me living here with you" Draco went on to explain, brushing over the fact he was mainly concerned about his father finding out about his accidents. "It wasn't something I was going to mention" Snape admitted, seeing no valuable reason for telling Lucius about Draco being looked after by himself. "B-but what if Professor Lupin mentions it" Draco stuttered. "Listen, calm yourself down. I will have a word with Remus before it starts and let him know that isn't something you are comfortable with him sharing with your father" Snape reassured as he noticed the worry that was brimming from the boy in front of him.
Draco knew there wasn't really any way in which his dad would find out about everything that had been going on since he started back at school, and he trusted that Lupin and Snape wouldn't broach the subject now he had told them not to, yet he was still inundated with fear. "Draco, you don't need to panic, it will all be okay, I promise" Snape said with a sympathetic smile to make sure Draco knew he was safe. "B-but..." Draco went to speak before being cut off by Snape. "No buts. Your father will come, we will tell him how well you're doing academically, then he will go home. Everything is going to be fine" Snape reiterated. "Okay" Draco sighed, not fully believing Snape but realising there was no use disagreeing with him.

"Off you go, have a quick shower and get yourself ready" Snape said using his wand to turn the light in the bathroom on. Draco did as he had been told. He stood in the warmth of the shower for as long as his body could muster; until the steam began making him feel lightheaded. Although Lupin had told Snape that he had had a good day, he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. It made him anxious to think that without Snape he was so vulnerable, especially as his accidents seemed to be controlling his life at the moment.
Draco turned off the water and sat himself down on the floor of the shower. He watched closely as the remaining water trickled down into the drain and focused on breathing slowly. 'I've got to get it together' he thought to himself. His dad expected him to be fearless. If he knew that Draco was having problems with wetting himself he would be outraged, and Draco couldn't stop himself from allowing that thought to preoccupy his mind.
"Draco? You've been in their ages. Are you okay?" Snape spoke from the other side of the bathroom door. Draco took a deep breath in, wrapped a towel around his hips, and opened the door. "Sorry" Draco said, trying his best to force a smile as to not appear completely terrified of what was to come later that evening.
Snape followed as Draco took himself back to his bedroom. "Right, let me put your nappy on and then I'll leave you to get dressed" Snape said, a dry nappy in hand. Draco looked at the nappy, then up at Snape. He had been wearing a nappy for a couple of weeks now, so was beginning to feel more accepting of the fact he needed them for the moment, but the idea of wearing a nappy in the presence of his father was repulsive.
