Draco held his tummy as he was escorted towards the hospital wing by professor Snape, embarrassment still clouding his thoughts. Neither of them spoke as they walked briskly through the corridors of Hogwarts castle. The bruises which covered Draco's lower tummy were a deep purple colour and some how Draco felt as if they were hurting more intensely since his accident in Snape's classroom.

It wasn't long until Draco and Snape were greeting madame Pomfrey inside the hospital wing. The room was long and thin. There were lines of beds on either wall, partitioned only by slightly translucent while curtains. It didn't seem to Draco like it was particularly busy in the hospital this afternoon; only 3 beds had other students in them and they all looked asleep regardless of the fact it was only 1pm.

"Professor Snape. Mr Malfoy. Are you looking to see me?" Pomfrey asked, a kind smile spread across her face as she spoke. Draco swallowed audibility, glanced towards Snape before his eyes fell on the floor. "Draco, are you going to lift up your shirt to show madame Pomfrey?" Snape asked. There was a different tone in his voice to his usual, dry dialect.

Draco didn't speak. He began tugging at the hem of his shirt, still staring at the ground. He took a deep breath in and pulled his shirt half way up. This revealed a long purple bruise that spread across his lower tummy. Madame Pomfrey gasped slightly before kneeling down in front of Draco.

"How did that happen?" she asked, placing her right thumb on the bruise and applying a small amount of pressure. Draco winced as madame Pomfrey pushed down on his bruise. "When I fell off my broom during quidditch the other day" Draco explained, pulling away from madame Pomfrey's touch as he spoke. "I guess it hurts when I touch it?" Pomfrey asked, staring deeply at Draco's tummy. Draco nodded, hoping she wouldn't touch it again.

"Lie down and I will use my wand to help me see what I can do to help" Pomfrey said, gesturing at an empty bed next to Draco. Draco sheepishly lay down, his shirt still pulled up, and closed his eyes. Madame Pomfrey gently dragged her wand across Draco's bruise as she muttered a spell. As this was happening, Snape stood back in the corner of the hospital wing. Internally he was hoping that the bruise could be healed quickly and Draco would have no more issues.

"Ah" Pomfrey said once she had put her wand away. "Ah, what?" Draco asked, concerned by the tone of madame Pomfrey's voice. "One moment" she said as she turned away and briskly walked towards her office. Snape followed.

"What is it, Poppy?" Snape asked, nervous to what she wasn't going to say. "How did you know that Draco had hurt himself?" Pomfrey asked. Snape opened his mouth to speak but embarrassment overcame him. "He didn't tell you, did he?" she pressed. "No" Snape replied bluntly. "He had an accident didn't he?" Pomfrey continued to question. "He did" Snape confirmed madame Pomfrey's suspicions. "He's hurt his bladder" she said, scouring her bookcase for a certain book to consult.

Once she had found the book, she pulled it from the shelf and pointed her wand at it. Immediately the book opened to a page entitled 'The Bladder'. She ran her finger down the page and stopped about half way down. "There. It says 'If the bladder experiences excessive trauma the damage may be irreversible'" Pomfrey read aloud. "'In some cases in children and adolescents it has been seen that they struggle to keep control of their bladder, resulting in wetting accidents, often on a daily basis. The wizarding world is yet to establish a cure for this yet'" she read on. After she had finished reading the page she slammed the book closed and put it back on the shelf.

"Surely there's something we can do" Snape said, frowning. "I can put Bruise-Be-Gone on his tummy to heal the bruises, but the internal damage is going to be difficult" Pomfrey explained, finding the cream on her shelf. "I'll put this on him now" she said, leaving her office and heading back towards Draco.
