"Okay, I'll go first. Make sure you send your floo to the Ministry of Magic's main entrance. I need to drop off a few important letters at the reception desk" Snape instructed Draco as we collected a handful of floo powder for his own journey.

"I have to go by myself?" Draco questioned, having originally thought he would be taken with Snape instead.

"Haven't you floo'd before, Draco?" Snape asked.

Draco shrugged, slightly embarrassed to be seen as so magically inexperienced to his professor.

"It's okay if you haven't. You can go at the same time as me if you like" Snape suggested, not particularly understanding why Draco was being so peculiar.

"No, I have. It's fine" Draco back peddled on his previous statement quickly, trying to salvage his own image.

"Are you sure, Draco? I don't mind" Snape raised his eyebrow as he spoke, indicating clearly that he was looking for honesty from Draco.

"I'm sure" Draco lied.

"Right" Snape was slightly disappointed that Draco felt the need to lie, but chose not to address the issue as he was aware they were getting closer and closer to being late for the Wizengamot hearing.

"The Ministry of Magic's main entrance" Snape spoke clearly as he threw this floo powder down at his shoes.

Draco had never even watched somebody else floo, so when the flames appeared from the fireplace Draco couldn't help but step back in shock. As the flames died down, Draco realised Snape was gone. Now Draco's only option was to be brave enough to floo alone.

Draco cautiously stepped into the fireplace, trying to stand exactly as he had seen Snape stand.

Then, Draco grasped a large handful of floo powder, trying not to spill too much on the floor.

Draco took a deep breath in before releasing his floo powder and starting to speak.

"T-the m-ministry of m-m..." Draco hadn't spoke fast enough, so found himself being cut off by the floo flames that were now engulfing him.

The bright lights of the floo flames completely dazzled Draco, and he could no longer see anything other than a burning light directly in front of his eyes.

This being Draco's first floo experience, he had no idea that he was supposed to prepare his body in a sort of crouched position as he came into arriving at the other fire place.

So, as Draco reached his destination, rather than a smooth landing, Draco was violently thrown out of the fire place, his trousers covered in floo powder as a result of his poor aim.

Where Draco had landed appeared to be a narrow, dark corridor, rather than the bustling entrance to the wizarding government building that Draco had been expecting.

Draco stood himself up, dramatically spinning himself round in a circle in search of Snape. Surely he wouldn't have gone anywhere without him, Draco thought.

Draco immediately started panicking once he had concluded that he hadn't arrived at the same place Snape had. He racked his brain thinking of what he had said while in the floo and where he could've been taken.

Then, Draco noticed a sign pinned to one of the only doors in the dingy corridor.

The sign read:

'Cornelius Fudge - Minister of Magic'

"Oh, shit" Draco thought, knowing exactly who's office would be on the other side of the door.

Draco knew that Fudge and his father had somewhat been friends and that he was working together with dark wizards to get his dad out of Azkaban. So, Draco didn't fancy coming face to face with Fudge at the moment.
