The next morning, Flynn found herself sitting next to Jerome, a freshly brewed cup of tea in front of her. As she fixed her toast for the morning, Patricia was recalling the events of the night before.
"I wish I could have seen her face when she woke up just covered in feathers," Jerome commented.
Alfie then piped in and asked, "Did it look like this?" he asks before trying to imitate Nina.
Fabian then came and sat in his usual spot, he and Flynn made eye contact as they heard the three making fun of the American. They both seemed to take a deep breath and roll their eyes before continuing with breakfast.
Patricia is beginning to discuss a plan with the boys when Nina walks into the room. "Sleep well, Nina?" Patricia asks in an overly sweet voice. She along with Jerome and Alfie start imitating birds by cawing at the table.
Fabian comments quietly to Nina a word of advice, "Ignore them."
"I am," she quickly responds. Fabian and Nina continue talking quietly while Jerome begins to toss grapes into Alfie's mouth him catching them with expert skill.
Flynn watched the boys tossing the fruit as she slowly sipped on her cup of tea and ate her slice of toast. Amber came in next, asking a question, "Anyone seen Mara? She's got my hair straighteners,"
"Yeah, she's with Mick in our room." Fabian answers.
"What?!" Amber reacts with her eyes wide in shock.
"Oh No! Green-eyed monster alert!" Jerome and Flynn said in unison, as they shrank away in fear away from the approaching Amber.
Amber began to sit once the two had straightened back up, beginning to speak, "I'm not jealous. Why would I be jealous? What's there to be jealous of?" she asks now sitting and looking at all of the other housemates at the table.
Fabian spoke quickly, "She... is helping him with homework that's all."
"Yeah, I know all about that, and it's cool. I would help him, but I'm just so busy," she says as she flicks a section of hair so it is now behind her shoulder.
When Jerome sees this he immediately reenacts what the blonde has just done.
Amber's focus then moves to Nina, "I see you haven't sneaked out at the crack of dawn today?"
"Wow everyone really does keep tabs on everyone else around here. Don't they?" Nina responds.
Trudy had come into the room to gather some dirty dishes, "Fabian said you had gone to school early, but then you didn't turn up at first class?" Amber persisted.
"Nina was helping an old lady across the road. Literally," Trudy spoke. "We had a surprise visitor from the old people's home," she continued.
Flynn had finished picking on her piece of buttered toast now and was gingerly sipping on her cup of tea. "I'm not very good with old people. They're all so old aren't they?" Amber saying this causes Alfie and Flynn to chuckle mainly out of surprise, and Fabian almost choked on his juice.
