It doesn't happen very often but all of the members of the house had gathered all together at the same time for breakfast. Nina was in her usual spot at the end of the table, with Amber on her right. Followed by Flynn, Jerome, Patricia, Mara, Alfie, Mick, and finally fabian.
They were all eating breakfast as Trudy came in with a pot of eggs, she asked the table, "More eggs anyone?"
Fabian lifts his hand, "Yes, me please," he says.
Patricia leans forward and begins to speak, "Did you hear about Victor?" Everyone at the table turns their attention to Patricia, "He fell down the stairs last night and broke his leg," she says.
Everyone around the table begins to chuckle, "Don't exaggerate Patricia." Trudy speaks up.
"Eggzaggerate! Nice one Trudes," Alfie speaks up.
"Terrible yoke Alfie," Jerome speaks up, making the table begin to laugh again.
"It's a sprained ankle that's all," Trudy says.
Victor speaks up now and comes into the room, "A very painful sprained ankle."
Trudy jumps a little at the sound of his voice, "Victor! How do you do that? And with a limp too," she says looking towards him.
"Someone sabotaged that floorboard on purpose," he says as he comes into the room. Fabian and Nina both make a face, which confused Flynn as to how they would have anything to do with the floorboard. Instead of speaking up, she decided to stay quiet.
"Oh no. That floorboard's been like that for ages." Trudy says. "I remember telling you about it last year," she continues before going back into the kitchen.
"Yeah. That's right, I've tripped over it myself a few times," Fabian says.
Amber speaks next, "Well, I haven't," she says slightly confused as to what step they were speaking about.
"Someone is up to something, and I intend to find out what it is," he says looking at everyone at the table. Nina was doing everything she could to not look at Victor. "And who," he adds before leaving the room.
Jerome, Flynn, and Alfie had made their way to school. They walked into the main building, Alfie having put on his werewolf mask. Flynn looked ahead and saw Fabian and Nina acting very close, "Have you noticed how close those two have become?" She asks this directing it mostly to Jerome.
"I guess nerds attract each other," he says with a smirk as Alfie continues to play around the two still in his mask.
Before they knew it classes were over for the day and everyone had headed back to the house to get ready for Mick and Amber's party that night.
Flynn was looking at herself in the small mirror that hung on the back of the door to her wardrobe, Nina was downstairs. Patricia and Mara were both getting ready in the room putting the finishing touches on their makeup and outfits. Flynn tied up the laces on her black boots before looking at her outfit once as a whole.
