The following day, the morning had gone as usual, and the housemates all made their way off to class. Flynn was sitting in history class waiting for Mr. Winkler to come in when she heard Patricia whispering to Mara about something.Soon Mr. Winkler made his appearance into the classroom greeting everyone with, "Morning everyone." Patricia quickly goes up to the teacher and questions him about something. Though Flynn couldn't hear what she was saying, knowing Patricia she could have almost sworn that it had something to do with Joy. "Okay, as I'm sure you're all aware, it's perspective parents' day. Is everyone clear on their individual tasks?" he asks.
Flynn and Amber were sitting in one of the corridors, discussing how they would work together as a team. Flynn stayed quiet most of the time, letting Amber lead the conversation. They soon had worked out a plan and were now waiting for parents to group together so that they could start leading them around the school grounds.
Amber was leading a group of parents when she was stopped by Mr. Winkler. "Amber, can you please help Mick man the history stall? Patricia seems to have disappeared," Mr. Winkler said.
Flynn was standing nearby at the sign-in desk and heard the conversation, she made her way over to the three as Amber said, "He dumped me, sir, from a very great height," she says.
Flynn jumps in, "I could help Mick, Amber seems to have the hostess thing covered," Flynn says, not wanting to work as hostess any further.
Mr. Winkler looks to her and then to Mick as if to ask if that was okay, to which Mick nodded. Mr. Winkler nodded his head and gestured for Flynn to join Mick in his section of the hallway.
As Flynn was standing with Mick and waiting for parents to come over and ask questions. Jerome and Alfie were hanging signs across the hall, when Amber passed them by, Jerome looked over to Flynn with a questioning look. Flynn just shook her head as if to say 'don't ask'. Mara soon makes her way over to Mick and Flynn rolls her eyes before going to make herself busy with the table they were standing near.
"I can help you with the stall if you like?" the girl questions.
"Mara. We're still not. You know I still haven't..." he starts before she finishes for him.
"Forgiven me?" she pauses, before trying to start again, "Mick..."
Flynn sees that the boy is getting more agitated by the girl's presence by the second. So she decides to step in for her housemate, "Mara, look Mr. Winkler has me helping Mick, maybe you can go and ask him where you are needed," she says as she makes her way around the table to stand next to Mick. Mara looks from Flynn to Mick and when he doesn't say anything, she leaves their presence.
The two watch as she goes, Mick then turns to Flynn, "I thought you'd hate me?" he says, confused by her actions.
Flynn turns to him, "Why, because you broke up with Amber?" she questions. Mick then nods, Flynn shakes her head no before responding, "Do I agree with how you did it, no, but I'm not going to shun you just because you and my roommate are no longer dating, I mean we are still housemates," she says stating the facts.
A little time passed before Amber passed in front of the history stall with a parent and child in tow. Mick was eating a sandwich and as the girl passed, his eyes followed her. Once she was in the drama room, Mick handed his half-eaten sandwich over to Flynn. She took it in her hand and looked at it with a disgusted look on her face. She put the sandwich on the corner of the table, not wanting to touch it any further.
She turned to face the drama room and saw smoke forming in the room. She moved closer, not knowing what was going on. As she walked into the room, several things happened all at once. First Jerome hurried toward her from where she assumed he was standing near the stage. The next thing she saw was Alfie flinging himself into Amber, causing them both to fall to the floor. Mick looks at the oddly dressed boy before helping Amber back into a standing position. They were then all ushered out of the room, because of the increasing amount of smoke. Thankfully, everyone had made it out of the building in only a few minutes. After Mr. Sweet was sure everyone was safe, he sent in Victor to investigate the source of the smoke.
The students and parents were all gathered on the grass. Alfie, Jerome, and Flynn found themselves grouped together, like always. Alfie was trying to explain his plan to Flynn with Jerome waiting on bated breath as to what Flynn would have to say in reaction to Alfie's plan.
Before she had a chance to reply to his explanation of his plan, Victor exited the main school building with an Egyptian statue of some kind in his hand. Victor caught the attention of Mr. Sweet and motioned to the statue. Mr. Sweet then gained everyone's attention and instructed them to make their way back inside. "Everyone back inside, please. Apologies visitors. Just a bit of spirited fun. We pride ourselves on having a sense of humor in this school." he says before letting out a forced laugh.
Mr. Sweet then heads directly to the trio, "Clark, Lewis, Thompson, My office now." he says firmly before walking towards the building.
Flynn turns to the boys, "I swear, I am going to get arrested one day just for being friends with the two of you," she says looking between Jerome and Alfie who seemed to be paying attention to something behind Flynn.
Alfie tapped the girl on the arm not moving his eyes from Amber and Mick who were having a conversation near them, "I love you Ambs, but we don't match. We're mates. Not dates. Do you know what I'm saying?" Mick questions the blonde.
Alfie watches with pure joy on his face, "yeah, I know what you're saying," she says calmly before going straight to Alfie. "Thanks a bunch for ruining everything... Again!" she says in a much more harsh tone.
Jerome tries to stifle his laughter, though he fails. Alfie looks deflated after what Amber said to him. Flynn hits Jerome's arm with her hand and goes to try to comfort Alfie as best she can. Jerome looks at the girl insulted before he too joins in comforting Alfie. They then begin their trek into Mr. Sweet's office.
Once they found themselves in Mr. Sweet's office, Jerome and Alfie tried to explain that Flynn had nothing to do with the smoke, but he wouldn't listen.
The trio begrudgingly began to clean the campus as their punishment for initiating the prank. Alfie stuck to himself, of course, acting a fool as usual. Flynn and Jerome were more focused on trying to get the job done as quickly as possible. They were currently cleaning up the drama room. Jerome looked across the room to Flynn, who was picking up scraps of paper and other trash from around the sofa. "I'm sorry you got roped into this," he said.
Flynn looked over at him and shook her head. "Hey, I should have realized that hanging around the two pranksters of the school had its consequences," she said with a smirk on her lips and a slight chuckle that came from her throat.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Jerome agreed.
"But hey, I'd rather be here cleaning, than not have you as a friend at all," she said, pausing. She quickly realized that how she said it could be taken the wrong way, so she quickly finished her thought. "And Alfie, of course," she said.
"Right, I couldn't imagine school without you... or Elfie by my side," Jerome says.
"I think we are done in here, I'm gonna do one more sweep of the corridors and I think we are finished," Flynn says, as she then heads down the corridors to make sure everything was cleaned up.
Jerome nodded as the girl began her way down the corridors. He then stood from his sitting on the stage and he made his way to find Alfie.
Once the main campus was back to its state of cleanliness from before perspective parents day the three went back to Anubis house to get ready for bed.
