It was now the following morning Fabian, Flynn, and Jerome were still at the table. Alfie was lying on the sofa with his ankle wrapped in an elastic bandage. Jerome and Fabian were finishing their breakfasts, while Flynn was using her time to reply to an email from her mum. "How is your family doing?" Jerome asks as he stands to bring his dish to the kitchen.

"Oh you know, mum's driving dad crazy. They did just get back from a holiday to the Netherlands," Flynn responds, giving Jerome the synopsis of the email her mum had sent her.

Jerome smiled, "Did she send you any photos?" he asked as he made his way back into the dining room.

"Not yet, she said she would in the next email," Flynn responds as she sees Amber heading to the kitchen to get whatever Alfie had requested from her. Flynn then focused back on her computer to respond to her mum.

Fabian asks Jerome, "So, Mick and Amber are definitely finished then?"

"Well, looks like it," Jerome says.

"I can't believe she went on a date with Alfie. I mean what's next? Cats and dogs living in harmony?" Fabian asks.

Mick comes in to grab his usual small breakfast of a piece of fruit and a protein bar when Amber speaks up, "I hope you're pleased with yourself. Alfie's in a lot of pain this morning because of you."

As she says this Mick takes the entire fruit bowl from the table and heads back to his room mumbling, "Oh please!"

Nina comes running into the room nearly knocking Mick over. She has a book in her hands and goes to sit next to Fabian, they begin talking quietly. Flynn finishes the email to her mum before closing her computer she then goes upstairs to return to its home on her small writing desk.

When Flynn got upstairs she saw Patricia in their room, and Flynn just kept her head down and did what she was doing. Patricia brings the phone up to her ear and begins conversing with someone. It seems to have been a rather positive conversation, though when she ended the call she didn't seem happy with how things were resolved.

They all headed into school and when Flynn arrived she saw Fabian discussing something with Jerome. If it were any other two boys she wouldn't have thought twice about it, but it was Jerome and Fabian. Neither of them really liked the other, so she decided she would ask Jerome about it after they were done.

She first headed to her locker before waiting there until Jerome began to walk away, then she could hear the conversation. Fabian spoke rather loudly, "So how is your recycled homework business going then Jerome?"

When Jerome hears this he pauses for a moment before turning back to face Fabian, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Well, I'm sure Mr. Sweet would love to hear about your thriving trade with the lower years. How much do you earn a month selling your old homework assignments, 50? 100?" Fabian spoke.

Jerome liked his lips knowing there was nothing to say to stop fabian from going to Sweet so he decided to stay quiet and follow where he led. Flynn still stood at her locker, She then made eye contact with Jerome to try and see what was going on. But his face told her that he was defeated about something, she just wasn't sure what.

Flynn walked with Jerome back to the house once classes were done for the day. That was when he filled her in on what his conversation with Fabian had been about. Alfie's ankle was feeling better now otherwise he and Jerome's pre-supper pillow fight endeavor would have been much more painful.

Flynn had sat in one of the chairs reading a book in her lap, and Fabian and Nina were at the dining table. All while Jerome and Alfie were battling on the couch. Patricia was sitting in the other chair with her laptop sat on her lap before she shouted with excitement, "Yes! I've had an email from Joy!!"

"That is great," Fabian says making his way over to the girl.

"Really?" Mara asks coming in from the hallway.

Patricia moves to sit between Jerome and Alfie on the couch, "What does she say?" Jerome asks next.

"Hi, Patricia" Alfie speaks mocking Joy's voice.

"Hang on, I'll read it," Patricia replies.

"Hi Patricia," she says.

Alfie jumps in, "That settles it, I'm psychic."

Patricia rolls her eyes then continues, "Sorry I haven't been in touch. It's been hectic since I left. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I'm fine. I know it probably seemed a bit off of me to disappear like that. But dad's business went under and he needed to get me out of there ASAP. I was a bit shocked myself. Hope you are all okay and not missing me too much. Love Joy." Patricia pauses then continues, "There's no smiley face at the end." Everyone around the girl rolls her eyes in exasperation, Flynn can't handle anymore of Patricia freaking out about Joy anymore so she goes to the kitchen to help Trudy with dinner.

Patricia continues speaking about how the email couldn't be from Joy, because of all of the differences between the new email and any other communication that she had ever had with the girl prior.

Flynn blocked out the girl's complaints and focused on helping Trudy. Flynn brought the bowl of salad to the table and then found her seat next to Jerome. When Patricia turned to say sorry for driving everyone crazy, Mara was the only one to say "No!" Everyone else replied with a blatant "Yes!"

Mara continued to her seat between Fabian and Alfie. Patricia apologizes to Nina for the way that she has been acting, and Flynn leans in close to Jerome, "You reckon that could be a sign of the apocalypse?" she asks worriedly that Patricia had just apologized to someone. Then it got scarier as she then volunteered to help Trudy bring the rest of the food to the table.

Amber and Mick came into the room holding hands and looking very friendly, "Hey guys guess what, Mick and I have made up," Amber said.

Alfie's head drops in disappointment, "That's great guys," Fabian responds.

"And we're going to have a party to celebrate," Amber says excitedly. "It will be tomorrow night. You're all invited," she finishes.

Alfie looks up at the girl and with sarcasm dripping from every syllable he says, "Great!"

After dinner, everyone does their usual night routine before they headed off to bed before the ten o'clock curfew. Flynn was sitting in bed flipping through her photo album as Patricia came into the room from the bathroom, "Can I speak to you for a moment?" she asks.

"Sure, I guess," Flynn says in response closing the album and setting it on her bedside table.

"Look, I wanted to say that I'm sorry, about how I have acted over the past few days," Patricia says, as she comes over and sits on the foot of Flynn's bed.

"I'm sorry, is this Patricia Williamson apologizing?" she asks with sarcasm in her voice.

Patricia smirks, "Look I know I went a little overboard," she starts before she is interrupted.

Flynn, "A little," she says before continuing, "look, let's just say that we are good and I will try not to drive you crazy as long as you try to do the same for me." she says.

Patricia nods, "I will try my best," she replies.

They then both head to sleep as the American comes in from the bathroom.
