Chapter 4

Competition and Pranks

I walk with Moose through the hallways of MSA after-hours laughing about something he said. They had just finished practice and Moose was walking towards the doors.

"Okay I'll see you tomorrow," Moose yells to me.

"See ya"

I walk back in the opposite direction to talk to Andie.

I got back into the dance room and see that Chase and Andie are working on their duet piece. I stand back and watch it. It was pretty good. After the music ended I clapped my hands and applied obnoxiously.

"That way beautiful. It made me tear up almost," I say to them being overly dramatic.

"You're so funny," Andie says sarcastically. I see her and Chase gathering their stuff.

"I had an idea. What do y'all say we go check out our competition tonight?"

We call the group back up as we enter a dance club to check out our competition.

We walk through the club with people looking at us weirdly. I get an odd feeling all of a sudden that something is about to happen. I scan the room and I the Tuck and Felicia in the 4-1-0 clothes. Apparently, they see me too because Tuck scowls at me, but Felicia looks confused, then I guess she looks at Andie and also scowls.

Felicia, Missy, and Tuck walk toward our group.

"Yo, what are you doing here man?" Felicia asks Andie. "Oh, please don't tell me this is your new crew?" She scans our crew holding back a laugh.

"No!"

"Yeah, we're her new crew." Andie and Moose say at the same time.

"We're getting ready to battle at The Streets."

Oh, Moose.

"What street? Sesame Street?" Felicia sasses.

Okay I know I'm not supposed to laugh but that was kind of funny.

"What do you know about The Streets?" The 4-1-0 crew laughs at us.

"Why don't you guys back off?" Chase speaks up. "We're just here to check a few things out."

"This is how you've been wasting your time, with these losers?" Tucks says walking to the front of his crew.

"Look why don't you guys do your thing and we'll do ours?" Chase says.

Andie this would be a good time to speak up and NOT stay silent.

"Oh, you got a thing you do?" Tuck asked surprised. "Why don't you show us, homeboy?"

Please don't say yes. Please don't say yes.

"Alright let's go," Chase says confidently.

"Yeah, let's go," Kido speaks up.

The 4-1-0 crew laughs and Tuck speaks up.

"Hey, you DJ sand. Drop that beat homey! It looks like we got new fish in town."

Oh God

"Okay, so let's clear the dance floor and see what they're talking about." DJ Sand yells into the mic.

"Now you come into my house you recognize what's going on." the Dj yells again. "Don't step into that circle if you ain't got it."

I step back from the group since I am not in the dance and watch them.

They got this right?

I look on the dance floor and realize that Andie is not there. I look to the side and see that she's standing there looking embarrassed.
