CHAPTER1: New schools and Rivalries

Summer break ended a bit later than usual for Kaylee she will be resuming school a week later than everyone else.

Her mom said she believes she needs more breathing space so she can get ready for school, but it was actually because a massive karate fight happened at the school she was supposed to attend a week prior .

When Monday finally rolled around Kaylee was ready to get the first day over with and was trying her best to ignore her mom even though her mum insisted on driving her to school so the chances of that were pretty thin.

When they reached the school's parking lot her mother had started the conversation she had deeply tried to avoid.

"Kaylee after everything that happened please just promise me one thing,"

"And dear mother what might that be?".

'Stay safe and focus on ap calculus, ok sweetheart?'

"Alright mom see you later, bye"

"Bye darling I'll pick you after school alright"Her mom gave her a final kiss on her cheek

Kaylee responded by nodding her head then entering the school building.

When she walked in she was surprised to see security guards with scanners, scanning students and their bags, but needless to say she dropped her bag on the scanner and the security guard scanned her when he was done she got her bag and walked further down the hallway.

She looked around the hall in curiosity and locked eyes with a boy with a red mohawk.

When their eyes locked his smirked and then nudged one of the boys next to him and he started to walk towards her.

But to her luck her best friend Starr Smith had seen her just in time and had hugged her and dragged her down the hall. Kaylee took one last look at the boy and followed her best friend.

"It's so nice to see you again Kaylee" Starr squealed her grip on the girl tightening.

"Starr honey I cant-t b-breathe !" Kaylee exhaled.

'Oh sorry about that, come on let me introduce you to someone" Starr said dragging Kaylee by the hand to a girl near her locker.

"Londynn-Kaylee, Kaylee- Londynn" Starr introduced.

'Nice to meet you Kaylee" Londynn said gleefully.

"Yeah same" Kaylee said with the least interest in her tone.

"So what's your first class Kaylee?' Starr asked trying to create a conversation.

"I am pretty sure I have English now" Kaylee said looking into her bag for her timetable

" Umm great, Londynn can show you to your class. I have Mrs.Kweuller, if I take you all the way to that class I will definitely be late. That woman doesn't play with Spanish, see you guys later though" Starr said rushing upstairs for her Spanish class.

'Alright, Kaylee let's go" Londynn said closing her locker and guiding the way.

'So what went down here anyway?' Kaylee asked Londynn out of the blue.

"What do you mean?' Londynn asked.

' Come on, I know my mental health is not all that great but there's no way my mum will give me 1 week away from school, so, I am going to ask you 1 more time what went down or who went down here?' Kaylee stated in a demanding tone.

'Ok fine there was this huge karate brawl on the first day back, it was so bad ,boys and girls getting injured, bleeding, and a dude got kicked off of this very staircase and I believed he is currently in a coma." Londynn said stopping and placing her hands on the staircase before quickly removing them like she was shuddering at the thought.
