Red's POV

"Then I woke up to Cora," whispered a voice at my ear.

"Let me get this straight...you dream of me killing you after you trying to kill me?"

He scratched his beard. "Well...sort of."

"What happened after that?"

"Well...you know already." I raised an eyebrow. "Cora woke me from my sleep to tell me her wicked plan." My eyes lowered and I sucked a breath. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." I lifted my gaze again with a smile. "Let's do something today like we promised."

"Alright."

I pursed my lips. "Let's see...we could go to the ice cream shop...then a zoo."

Hook blinked. "A zoo?"

"It's a place you go to see animals."

Killian took my head in both his hands, one being the fake one, and turned me to the window. "Oh look an animal," Hook stated with sarcasm. I eyed Pongo. "We must be at a zoo already."

"Actually...you just insulted the whole town."

"What?"

I met his gaze. "Zoo cages aren't the cleanest...and you called his place a zoo."

His jaw clenched. "Then why are we going to this damned place if it's so dirty!?"

I put my hands atop his. "Goodness...you'll see."

----------------------------------------------

We entered the gates, an ice cream in our hands. The New York zoo was huge and filled with animals. Killian's ice cream was a creamy chocolate, scattered with a few small sprinkles. Mine was rocky road, white marshmallows sticking out like logs in the sea...well a brown sea. Along with the marshmallows, there were gummy bears as hard as rocks and chocolate sprinkles. I also spat out my ice cream the first time Killian took a bite of his.

He spooned a large chunk into his mouth before I could warn him, and he let it slip out of his mouth and onto the ground, his face pinched. I laughed and told him to take smaller bites. He did like it though.

"Chocolate is my favorite flavor," he said with a nod.

"That's the only kind you've had," I replied and brushed my fingers gingerly across his hair covered face to get the ice cream off. The band on the third finger of my left hand shimmered. We both had to wear our rings, Mr. Gold had put a spell on them to let us leave StoryBrooke.

The first place we went was my all time favorite place, the lion cage. Killian seemed sad as he watched the lions walk around. "Why would you cage such a poor beast?"

"These were endangered, or orphans. Some like it here. It's safer. Plus, the do have room."

Then we went into the desert area. Killian chuckled at the meerkats, watching them scurry around and stand up. When he saw the snakes, I knew this would be his favorite part. Every snake, scary in its own way, was different. Though each had fangs, and they all hissed at me.

We went to the water world, another favorite, saving my very favorite for later...the dolphins. He sat in the window in the water, watching jelly fish swim by. We then went to the dog sharks. "Why are they called dog shark?" Killian questioned, deciding whether to stick his hand in, or run away.

"They're one of the nicest sharks," said a random kid next to us. "They kind of act like dogs?"

"Do they bark?" Everyone started laughing, thinking it was a joke. My eyes widened, and his face reddened. In embarrassment. "Do they?" The people's face fell instantly.

"No...they don't," said someone else.

Hook's face colored brightened even more. He leaned into me. "Can we go somewhere else?" I bowed my head.

"Of course sweetheart." So we did.

We went to the wolves. "Are these your brethren?" Asked Hook jokingly.

"Coming up in ten minutes...the dog show!" Blared the speakers all around us. "Come down to the square!" I gleamed.

"No they aren't but, come one, you're going to love this." I grabbed his hand and began to drag him to the main square in the zoo.
