A/N: uh kinda pg-13.
I was seated on my bed, looking through old pictures on my laptop. Killian was out getting things at the store then he and David were going to hang out. He knew I would be gone that's why he planned to spend time with David and his family. Whale promised he'd meet me on his lunch break at 12:30. It was 12 o'clock now.
I didn't tell him what I wanted to talk about, not wanting to worry or frighten him. I closed my laptop and tilted my head against the wall, shutting my eyes."Red," I heard faintly, and I burst up, knowing I wasn't hearing things.
He was there again. This time it couldn't be a trick. The light from the closed blinds poured out and touched his skin. His dark hair was tasseled roughly. Like last time, scars covered his flesh.
"Red," he breathed again.
"P-Peter," I stuttered, my back against the wall. "I-I'm so s-sorry."
He stopped for a moment. "Red. Don't apologize. It wasn't your fault. It was your dumb granny who kept you from the truth and your stupid friend for thinking I was the wolf, but it was you all along."
"H-how are you back together? I ate you!"
He snickered. "Magic my dear. It got me out. This man put me back together."
My dear was the only thing I heard. "So...you're not mad?"
"Not as long as I'm alive." His smile was genuine, inviting. "I don't blame you." Now Peter was so close I could feel his breath fan across my neck. He took my hand in his. "Now we're the same."
"How?" My question was simple yet so complicated and oh so quiet.
"We're both...monsters. I am the creation of Dr. Frankenstein." After he brushed my hair away from my face, he chuckled. "You don't seem so innocent anymore Red."
"Neither do you." He laughed again, a little louder.
"I know," he murmured. "But I never was."
His lips met mine in a familiar, yet foreign, way. I had kissed Peter quite a few times, only pecks though. This one topped them all. Our sweaty bodies pressed together, our limbs tangled. Fingers in my thick hair, messing it up. My own hand stuck against his warm chest. I didn't realize I was crying until he brushed his thumb across the hollow of my eye. His smile was contagious, a flu caught so easily by someone as gullible as myself.
I didn't know what he was really doing. I didn't know he was sugar coating his love, sweetening me up. Treating me like a scrawny pig to be eaten at the Christmas dinner, fattening me with all kind of food. All I knew...was that Peter was alive...and in my arms.
His head tilted to the side. "Oh Red," he moaned against my mouth. "Ah...I've missed this."
"So have I," I replied softly. He began to march forward, pushing me with him. The bottom of my spine hit the bed. I fell, him on top. He paused.
"Red? Where's your granny or your friend?"
"Thing's have changed Peter."
"I got that when I was almost run over by a automatic carriage thing." Peter eyed the window, watching the cars.
"A car you mean?"
"Yeah."
"Well Granny is downstairs, but she won't hear us and Snow White has a husband, a child, and a grandchild now." I scratched at an itch on my hand.
"Wow. Time has gone by so fast."
"Yeah and the strangest thing is, this isn't the Enchanted Forest anymore," I told him. Peter's brown eyes widened.
"We aren't?" I shook my head.
"Nope." Then I kissed him again.
