 I picked myself up and walked to the car. My clothes were soaked.

How the hell am I supposed to explain this to my family?

Shit the family dinner, I looked at my phone that was in my back pocket.

It was a goner as it got soaked along with me.

I combed through the new memories I had to try and find a solution. I felt like when I was trying to remember I was going through files.

Super speed.

"Hopefully you got the super speed gene from me. If you did, I think you can guess what that means... controlling it will be hard at first but then it's like walking, you kind of just do it," Lily echoed.

I could potentially dry my clothes... I let the power go through my veins again and I ran and let my power guide me.

Except it almost guided me into a tree before I could stop. I dragged my heels into the ground almost making me fall over.

Running was a rush.

Using my powers was a rush.

It felt normal.

Second nature even though it's all new to me. But it isn't at the same time. It's like how your heart beats without thinking, it's kind of the same. The power in my body. Like it's always been there except now I get to really feel the power.

My memories are real, I know that much. I can count on those.

I took a deep breath and tried again. I had a handle on it the second time, I realized blue light came off when I ran. It looked like a blur, like power was radiating off of me.

The more I used my power the more I could feel that it was deep inside my bones. More of it. It felt like it could be never ending.

And I liked that feeling.

The power at my fingertips. Endless power.

"The power you possess can be tempting. Going too far in is hard to get out. It may be harder for you Leah. Control it. Don't let it control you."

Liam's cautious words loomed in the back of my head.

I listened. Took a hold of my power and pushed it down and turned it off.

I just got them, I don't want to lose control already.

It didn't take long for my clothes to dry. I quickly hopped into Asher's car and pulled out.

On the drive home it finally really sunk in that I almost died.

And it didn't faze me... well it did. But it also didn't. I now know I couldn't have died, my body protected me but it was scary someone wanted me dead.

They knew where I was and wanted to kill me. But I don't think they knew about Leah Legend me.

It was a woman and she was shocked to see when my suit had materialized.

Do I tell my parents?

No. I can't. Tell them how I escaped?

Tell them that I know my real parents are Liam and Lily who supposedly died before I was even born. Or did they know who I was?

"Hey mom and dad I know that you aren't my mom and dad and that you probably have no idea who I really am! I am supposedly an alien who is royalty and some fucking knight. And I understand that sounds crazy but it's true. I know it's true because I have memories that were hidden but now I have them because my own self saved myself from dying."
