It's official I hate prom. Not in the way that I hate the dress wearing crap. The 'I'm so nervous of how this is going to go' crap. Atlas was being really chill about it all. Which might be the worst thing about it.

I took pictures with Atlas and most of my family enjoyed it with my other friends and brother. Hayden was trying her best to be the median between it all but it was clear my friends wanted nothing to do with me.

My parents didn't notice my dress at all or say anything. It made me worried my mom might remember my real mom's dresses. So unless she knew she didn't say anything.

I was waiting for my parents to get done taking their pictures. Atlas was leaning on the porch railing watching Odessa closely.

I nudged his shoulder for him to stop staring when Hayden pulled me away from Atlas. "Is he worth everything you've done?"

I was caught very off guard by her question, "Excuse me?"

She crossed her arms, "Leah, you are giving up your friends and your relationships to be with him. You have never ever done that with someone."

My mouth was opened wide by her comment, "When and where did I ask for your opinion? Atlas is perfect-"

Hayden laughed, "Out of all the things I would think you would do, it's not this. You are watching your best friends leave you out and you are doing it all for him. Asher has told me Atlas isn't a good guy. The Leah I know isn't such a bitch... Whatever is going on Leah you can talk to me," she put her hand on my arm and I jerked away.

"Don't ever call me a bitch again. And don't try to dictate what I do. Don't treat me like a child, I'm not one anymore. We don't have fucking tea parties anymore, you barely come around anymore. Just fucking leave me alone."

Hayden grabbed my arm and turned me around, "Don't ever fucking talk to me that way. I practically raised you while mom was fucking grieving. I did everything for you. I am just trying to look out for you-"

"I don't need you to. Just leave it Hayden," I walked away, joining back with Atlas.

Atlas's eyes glanced over to where me and Hayden were, "That did not seem like fun."

My eyes glared at him and I felt my powers rush throughout my body, "This better work."

Atlas grabbed my hand gripping it tight with hope, "It will Legend."

Prom was actually fun. Despite what was going to happen in a few, I was having fun.

Becca danced with me for a little bit before she went to go back with the other girls.

I was dancing with Atlas and his hands were on my waist. Months ago if you told me I would be dancing with Atlas, I would have thought you would be kidding. And that we would have made out and that his large hands were on my hips, no I would have laughed.

"I think I'm going to miss you," I whispered.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"Why? You haven't liked me a lot of the time."

I scoffed, "I never hated you, I just never knew what to think of you. Turns out you are okay."

I could almost see his smile, "Even when I'm gone promise you'll call. Or visit."

I nodded into his chest, "Yeah. I might."

"Might? No you have to visit," he twirled me around and his face met mine. His golden eyes had so many emotions flashing throughout them.

I cocked my head, "Okay, okay. Yes. Fine. Promise me one thing?" He didn't say anything, just merely waited for me to say something, "Promise that you will visit too."

He nodded and pulled me close again, "We have a deal."

We danced for a while and we kept our eyes on Odessa for a while. 10 minutes after our conversation we saw Odessa leave out the door.

Marshall looked over to us and we walked out the door in suit. Atlas and I moved quickly and changed into our suits.

Atlas, unlike me, couldn't do it naturally. He wore a bracelet and it covered his body. He also didn't wear a mask, since he was leaving he didn't want to become part of the public eye like I had.

His suit was like mine except the patterns were different and instead of blue it was a dull gold color, not glowing or shiny. I stood out more than him in that aspect but he looked more comfortable to be in.

"Remember I won't be much help. I can't stop Odessa or Multiplex, that's going to have to be you," He said before we left.

I clicked the buttons and my mask flipped up, "Yeah I got it. Let's just get this over with yeah?"
