"Do you need a coffee machine?""Addie's got one already, pretty sure she loves it more than she loves me, Charlie says, munching on cereal and spinning on a stall in Callie and Arizona's kitchen.
The blonde empties a cupboard into a cardboard box, shuffling through the items. She holds up a device that even she is not sure of and Charlie just shrugs her shoulders. "Hold up, aren't you leaving in like a month? Why are you clearing everything out, now?" Charlie asks but before Arizona can respond Callie interrupts them.
"Beck, why are you eating my cereal?" Callie raises an eyebrow as she enters the apartment.
Charlie freezes and spins slowly, meeting Callie's eyes and smiling. "Clark's at school, Addie is working and Robbins wanted to talk...also I'm bored and wanted to bother someone."
"Yes, I did want to talk, didn't I?" Charlie spins back to Arizona. "Okay, so...I got accepted for the Carter-Madison grant, in Malawi. I'm leaving-"
"What?! You can't leave! I need you!" Charlie blurts out.
"Well, if you just listen to me, you would understand what I'm saying. They said I could take someone with me as a research partner, I was wondering if you would join me?"
"Uh....what?" Charlie drops the cereal spoon and stares at her boss.
"It's three years in Africa-"
"Three years?! Robbins, I'm flattered that you want me but I can't. I just got Clark, I can't just up and leave him."
"I understand that but think about the opportunities this could bring you!"
"Arizona I can't, I won't leave Addison or Clark, and besides I am not being a third wheel for three years."
"Yeah good call, I'm not dealing with that." Callie smiles and Arizona lets out a laugh.

Charlie swings in her hammock, her book lays on her chest and she closes her eyes, taking in the final moments of silence she would get before Clark gets home and demands she plays catch with him.
"Charlie!" She opens an eye and watches as Clark comes bounding down the decking and runs straight towards her. "Hi." He says, attempting to climb onto the hammock with her.
"How was school?" She asks, holding the 13-year-old steady next to her.
"Good! The best part was at lunch when my friend Danny was showing me pictures of his new dog! He's a labrador named Chewbacca."
"Good name." Charlie smiles.
"Can we please get a dog?" Clark starts to beg and Charlie rolls her eyes slightly.
"Don't ask me, ask Addison." Charlie smiles and Clark jumps off her and runs inside, tripping up the stairs of the decking as he goes.
He kicks off his shoes and slides into the kitchen, nearly crashing into Addison as she carries a basket of laundry.
