Alexandria was up at 7:30 am. This was nothing new for the girl when it came to track meet days she was up early to prepare. She was used to waking up early so she could visit her mother's grave it took a lot out of her when she visited but it made her give it her all when she was on the field.

Alexandria was putting her braids in a ponytail when  her phone dings twice. She saw it was two text messages one from Will and the other one was Carlton.

Willy Will 🤞🏽🏀:  Good luck today can't wait to see you put that work in track star🏃🏾‍♀️

Carlton 🙄🤍: I know you'll be going to your mother's grave today I'm here for you good luck.

She replied to both of them and continued her morning routine washing her face, brushing her teeth, and making sure her track bag was picked.

Once Alexandria was finished she walked downstairs and saw her sister in the kitchen waiting for her texting on her phone when she saw Alexandria she put her phone down with a sigh.

"You ready?" This was hard for both the girls so of course, they did the tradition together.

"Ready as I can be," Alexandria said as they walked towards her car.

The sisters were now sitting in front of their mother's headstone.

"Mom I miss you so much, I miss seeing you cheer me on each track meet. You are my biggest supporter, Cheering louder than any parent out there. No matter how embarrassing it was I loved it." Alexandria sniffles as she placed the flowers in front of the headstone.

"Mom we miss you so much, everything feels so different without, and even though it's been three years, it's been three years too long. The love and support you gave was tremendous, we wish you were here." Lisa spoke as she placed her flowers next to Alexandria's.

As the girls walked back towards Alexandria's car in silence Alexandria was the one to break it first.

"That was harder than I thought that would be Lis," Alexandria said as she got into the car.

"I thought I was the only one, today just fell different. I really miss her." Lisa said as she wiped her tears away.

"I miss her too Lis," Alexandria said as she used her free hand to hold Lisa's.
