Chapter Twelve

"Have you talked to Will?" Lisa asked as the two walked toward their class.

"Yeah on and off for the past two weeks." Alexandria while fixing her braids.

"Dad had a lot to say."

"Yeah and he grounded me for a month because I went with Carlton to help find Will, so just school, practice, and straight home and luckily since I'm co-President of the Black Student Union I can go to that too," Alexandria said as she noticed Carlton and Will walking together.

"Hey, Lex it will be okay. And besides what about Demetrius?" Lisa questioned with a knowing smirk causing Alexandria to laugh.

"Demetrius and I are just friends Lis, and as of right now I'm still in a relationship," Alexandria said with a smile as they walked into their first class.

"Mm-hmm, and it's your turn to grab our papers," Lisa said before grabbing Alexandria's book bag and heading to their seats.

"Hey, girl, hey," Will says to Alexandria causing her to smile.

"Hey Will. How's it going?" She asked as she got papers for her and Lisa.

"Good. Um, you think we could find a second to talk about our situation? I just don't like how we've been avoiding the whole issue between us." Will said to her causing her to sigh. She knew what that meant when he said he wanted to talk.

"Well, I've been trying to give you your space since you're going through a lot and I want to respect that. But, um, yeah, an actual conversation would be cool." Alexandria told him.

Giving her a smile he asked, "Cool. Um, you free tonight?"

"No, my dad has a campaign event," Alexandria said while rolling her eyes.

"I can't exactly be your plus one to that."

"You could be but I'm going to Ashley's party tomorrow. We could talk there." She offered.

"Hey, Lex," Demetrius said as he walked over to grab his papers causing Alexandria to smile and wave at him before turning her attention back toward Will.

"I'm not going. Me and Uncle Phil aren't exactly on the best terms, and I don't want to bring that vibe to her party. You feel me?"

"Yeah, I understand." Alexandria started just as Tyler called Will.

"Hey, yo, Will. Will, Will, Will, check these out, bro."

Walking away he said, "The Georgetown Sixers. What's up, bro?"

"I guess we'll talk later," Alex said to herself with a sigh as she picked up her and Lisa's papers and walked to their seats.

"What was that about?" Lisa asked as she looked at her sister's facial expression.

"Uh, Will wants to talk about us." Alexandria said while she and Will looked at each other before she turned to look at Lisa who made the "yikes" face
