Everyone looked at Hoseok and then on Jungkook swimming carefreely at the water.
" What kind of poison?? and why is Jungkook not affected by it at all ?? "
Yoongi had so many questions, and he want those answer but from whom??
Jungkook looked less than even a little affected or even aware of the poison in the cave instead he seemed to be thriving here more than he did anywhere else.
" M-My.... skin. " Jimin hissed low capturing the attention of all his mates toward himself.
It was then they finally noticed, Taehyung and Jimin were in unbearable pain with blood seeping out of their tails which looked bruised with the skin peeling off and black and red spots appearing on their upper body.
It was quick.
The sirens gathered the younger ones and rushed out of the cave from the only visible opening, their mind working on the single task of getting their hurt mates out of the poisonous cave.
They didn't even bother at looking back for Jungkook once too busy and focussed on the hurt mates to notice the hurt and confusion flash on the mermaid's face.
The mermaids usually do not live in separate caves however if someone lets you in the cave it is considered a sign of huge intimacy and trust so seeing his mates clearly distressed being in his cave just broke Jungkook self-esteem.
He looked at the sirens rushing out however couldn't bring himself to call them back.
A strange feeling of something ugly settled in the pit of his stomach as he looked at the disappearing back of the sirens.

Jimin hissed as Jin put on some random medicinal herbs available in the ocean at the young siren's tail where the skin was peeling from.
They were a little further away from Jungkook's cave as the surrounding area still had some traces of poison in the water.
Taehyung and Jimin were comparatively younger than the other four sirens and hence their tail and body aren't hard enough to sustain for long in extreme conditions like this one, hence they were affected much more quickly than the others.
" I felt as if I am swimming in the pan of boiling oil, what the actual fuck ?? "
Taehyung looked genuinely confused, one minute they were watching their youngest mate enjoying himself in his cave and the next minute he was feeling as if his skin would melt off with the amount of pain he was in at the moment.
" Where is Jungkook ?? " Jimin looked around his tail swinging back and forth behind him.
It was like the realization finally dawns on them.
Shit ... Did they leave Jungkook behind.
Namjoon cursed under his breath as he turned around rushing on his way to the cave, they unintentionally left Jungkook alone and stormed out of his safe space when he trusted them in there.
He huffed as he entered the cave, poison still making his skin tingle a bit.
One scary thing was the way Jungkook seemed less than a little affected by the poison.
Had he been living in a cave for so long that he had grown immune to it??? Although it might make a little sense this poison is something familiar and that irks Namjoon.
He rushed in just to see Jungkook lying on his bed exhausted by the overwhelming day with tears stains on his pale cheek.
Namjoon felt like a failure unable to take care of three of his young mates was like a huge push to himself.
He needs to do better.
He will do better.
