A/N Wow, long chapter but I didn't want to split it up. Hope you enjoy ! I'm sorry it took me a little while to get this out. "Louis?"
The blue eyed man picked his head up at Harry's voice, his eyes immediately going to his boyfriend who hesitantly walked in, "hey, you're up early," he said, pulling his glasses off and resting his back against his desk chair.
"So are you," Harry said quietly as he fully walked into the office, "are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, m'fine," Louis offered him a small smile, "just wanted to be up when the market opens. I have more than a few accounts going right now."
Harry nodded back at him, taking a seat on one of the chairs across from his desk and keeping his eyes on him for a moment, "I woke up around 4 and you weren't there... The market doesn't open for another 5 hours," he said softly.
Louis bit his lip as his eyes shifted to his desk, "I'm just... I'm trying to make my mind focus on good things."
"By doing stock market accounts?" Harry asked with furrowed eyebrows.
The older man opened his mouth, trying to come up with something quick, "it's- well I can't tell you, but it's good, I promise," he said honestly.
"Like a surprise?" Harry asked, not even trying to hide his smile.
Louis had to keep in a huff, "kind of, yeah," he said, knowing he couldn't give anything away, but hopefully with it being the market his boyfriend wouldn't have a clue.
"Is it for me?"
Louis rolled his eyes fondly, the curly haired man loving surprises more than anything in the world, "could be for the business," he shrugged, grinning back at him.
Harry hummed, clearly not so sure about that, "are you alright though? Did you have a dream or something?" he asked gently.
"No dreams," Louis shook his head as he let out a small breath, "I... I was scared to sleep with it being today," he said unable to meet his boyfriend's eyes.
Harry looked at him softly as he got up from his chair and carefully sat on the blue eyed man's lap. And Louis was too quick to wrap his arms around him and bury his face in his neck.
"You can't not sleep either Lou, it's not good for your mental health," he said as he felt him breathing heavily against him.
Louis focused on Harry's hand running up and down his side, his fingers playing with the hairs on the back of his neck. It was the simplest thing but over and over his boyfriend got his mind to quiet down, gave him something else to give his attention to.
"Listen... I uhm, I actually wanna talk to you about that," Harry said carefully, making Louis' head pick up.
"Talk about what?" he asked confused.
The green eyed man shuffled nervously on his lap, taking a moment to figure out what he wanted to say, "just- just your mental health," he said cautiously, "I think there are things we can do to help and-... And just get you to sleep better and not stress so much."
Louis furrowed his eyebrows, feeling his pulse slow at seeing Harry so nervous, "like what?"
"Well uhm, you- you know mom is a nurse practitioner and she knows how hard these last few months have been and she suggested something that could help," Harry said through a shaky breath, only continuing when he saw the older man nod slowly back at him, "I was nervous to talk to you about it, but I just- I don't like seeing you like this."
